The issue with gummed up valves these days (for those not clued in on what would cause something like that) is caused by GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) *not* spraying fuel on the valves. Usually this spray operates as a solvent and cleaner, keeping valves clean and not 💩 carbon’ed up! That common problem is the reason that Toyota uses BOTH GDI AND Port Injection, even though it adds complexity and extra cost to the vehicle’s build. /essay, sorry for being long-winded. Cheers, folks! 🖖😎👍

@06:57 its extra work, BUT use penetrox on your spark plug threads every time you re-install plugs. heads are aluminum, sparkplugs are stainless. anytime electricity flows through aluminum to a dis-similar metal. it will cause oxidation of the contact points, in this case, the threads. using pentorox, or (dielectictric grease). not only will it prevent the plug threads from rusting, but it will increase electrical conductivity. since the ground source for spark plugs is the threads to the head.
@gateaccess818
@gateaccess818 Жыл бұрын
it is mainly used in electrical work, but i have utilized it on all my cars now for years and my plugs never rust anymore, plus removing them is so smooth as the electrical rated grease prevents the plugs from ever seizing in place. win win win just google, dielectric grease. i use penetrox brand

Sounds like Sam has the right idea; I had ALL of them removed a couple/few days before going off to college. THAT was fun (not); taking the little syringe thing they give you and alternating between using tweezers to remove small bits of food and squirting water into the socket (painful) which made it start bleeding again every time for the first few weeks. Took those craters an eon to close up and then fill in with jawbone; that last part took years.

For the T/B on the swift or like vehicle that needs a t/b cleaning, just grab a can of carb cleaner ( preferred and stronger than brakleen) and a nylon brush similar sized to a toothbrush and clean the t/b blade and assy on the inside, outside if you are the " while you are there" type of person to calm the OCD in you, reassemble, test. but note that some later vehicle may require a idle relearn or other keyboard mashing to make it work properly if you have a car with a OEM eng mgmt( that obviously has control of too many other things than I feel it should, personally) lol. just my 2 cents but if I invested the $$$$$ that you did in the S15, I would do the maffs and prolly even hand draw pictures ( for my caveman brain to understand quicker) on IF the cams are affecting the compression #s whilealso learning your engines actual valve open/closing timings as well as the timing range prior to valve contact to piston ( if interference build) , as well as the many other verified info that you will find out and not have to do the guessing game when trouble shooting occurs of when strange issues occur. also while you are there.. just get write down the info to blueprint the engine build, and final setting prior to dyno adjustment for power. and when on dyno you can be sure how far you mechanically are allowed, safety margins, and have #'s that were 100% verified. so you can save your future self for days or weeks of stress while trouble shooting issues. also... "its content" so why not?

in the next vid... "how to properly affix a baby seat in to vehicle" 1 correct way and tons of incorrect ways to do so..... you would be surprised how many parents ( not just newer ones) do NOT know how to do so and also keep wondering what the teathers are for in the car.... cuz who reads the papers that comes with products, you know...haahahha.. but yeah seriously Im sure some of your viewers willappreciate it and who knows.. you vid may result in having +1 future subscriber.. either way.. i feel its worth. its just another service that you could do for your viewers that 0 car YT'ers have done ( at least AFAIK) which also shows that you are still relateable to your communitys bulk age group and issues that may arise during the duration of their iautomotive modding era of their lives ( little do they know, most end up crossing the point of no return and end up, enthusiasts for life, like me and u. )

The Minnesota sweatshirt seems to be one of May's official casual channel appearance shirts. Every time I see it I want to go back to my home State. I've always been caught off guard by how many Japanese television, anime, manga and now KZfaq videos have people wearing Minnesota shirts. Which reminds me to ask, can you offer sweatshirts without hoods in your merch store. I'd love to get a bunch of sweatshirts but I find wearing hoods to be uncomortable.
