Jim is a 77 year old Vietnam War Veteran, and a custom motorcycle builder….
JoAnne, Jim’s wife reached out to us a couple weeks ago asking for help and thats when we heard their story. Not only did Jim get injured in the war but in 2019 he battled pneumonia several times causing him to eventually lose his lung. Things can’t get much worse that that right?, well in December Jim fell and broke his hip and shoulder. During one of his battles in the hospital his German shepherd tragically passed away, which I’m sure wasn’t easy. Through his rehab not only has Jim been determined to make a full recovery but he has a wish to get a new dog. Now Their yard as slowly taken over through the years and as you can imagine and Jim and JoAnne are unable to get it back under control. In that yard is a kennel so overtaken by vines that it’s not really usable. So me and the boys are gonna clean up the yard, restore some hope and finally remove every vine from that kennel so Jim has a place out back to put his new dog when he is ready. And of course were gonna throw in a cool surprise at the end because well, were the Blessing Boys! Thanks for Watching!

What you did for this veteran and his wife is wonderful! And I love seeing your children working hard alongside you as you are teaching them about life and about giving. It isn't always about money many times it's about love and time and going the extra mile with you all truly did. It is wonderful that you gave the money especially to a veteran. And they seem like very nice people. God bless the veteran Jim for what he did for our country it is so appreciated. And what a faithful wife he has. God bless them and God bless you guys for what you did. I also would like to make a comment that it is so sweet the thank you letter that they sent you and you put it at the end of your video. I hope these people see all of our comments. And if I may say to both of you who are precious and in your later years, my husband's in a nursing home now and has Alzheimer's and dementia. Good man that he is his legs have failed him and I couldn't take care of him anymore and I did for 7 years. It is wonderful that you can still be in your home and I pray you always will be and be safe and cared for both of you.if you don't mind my saying so I agree with someone else's comment. Please don't keep your precious dog outside. Let the dog be part of your family in your home 🏡 and just love on him or her. My husband used to keep his little Dachshunds in the basement when I married him and it broke my heart. Thank God when the one died we transitioned the other dog upstairs and got it a buddy. And for 40 some years are part of our home. There is absolutely no comparison. They are one of the family and they will love on you with everything in them and be faithful. I'm not judging you and I don't know what you did with your other dog, but I hope that you too will now enjoy your dog in your home. The love of that dog will give to you will be so unbelievable and that dog will be faithful to you. Your love on them a little bit and they loved back miles! So may God truly God the dog that you get and I pray in Jesus name it will be a family dog in your home. Thank you for letting me speak my heart and you are both very very precious, and so is the family that helped you with your yard! I hope you all know Jesus as your Savior and Lord of your lives and then we will see each other in heaven and with Jesus!!❤😊

Maybe the dog pen was just for the dog when they went to the store or something. They didn't have a fenced-in yard. I saw a doggy door at one point. But I agree that pets should be inside as a rule. God Bless You.

This was awesome! God bless you and our veteran. My brother was killed in Vietnam. I was 9 years old. Our mom died when I was 7. I always show respect especially to our Vietnam veterans for they have a special place in my heart and the others as well. 💞

I know it's none of my business or is it of yours but I truly hope that they aren't those type of people who want a dog (pet) and keep it outside away from human contact, affection, and caged. It isn't fair to the animal. I'm sorry but that disturbs me as well as others. I think the world of what you and the boys do by helping people. Truly, a Godsend, the place looks fantastic.

Certain animals are born, bred and raised for certain jobs. Just like police dogs and livestock guardian dogs. Sometimes these dogs that have jobs for vets even need to have the outside life to mirror what military vets found them in. Doesn’t mean they’re not taken care of.

I saw a doggy door also. They didn't have a fenced property so maybe they just used the pen when they went to the store or something. Just to let the dog be outside in the sun when they were not home.

@333grace thank you. The Vietnam veterans are finally being thanked for their service. We attend the Vietnam veterans reunion in our state each year and then our veteran friends have a mini reunion every February in which the host couple pick a town in our state to get together at. It's been a great way of fellowship as well as visiting towns in our state.

Yes they were nit welcome home. They were spat on had garbage thrown at them. This county was most horrible too those young men. My husband had all of that done too him and his comrades. Deplorable!

@lindastough4998 yes, it was sad times for sure. Our group welcomes the young military from Afghanistan and Iraq as they were in the same boat. These young men were called to duty and they didn't run to Canada as some did and then when they came home were treated horrible!

You are a true blessing to this veteran and his wife. A lot more people sing their praises to the veterans when they come home. But then they soon forget that those same veterans get old, sick, have health problems, a lot are homeless and then are forgotten about. They did not fight for us just to be forgotten. You taught your boys an important lesson today. No matter what condition veterans are in, they need as important, respected, and honored like family. Thank you!!

I agree why have a pack animal and not give it a pack? That messes with them psychologically and emotionally. Before anyone decides on getting an animal they really need to their research. If you get a dog research the particular breed because every breed is different and requires particular care.
