I bought myself a 1440p 27" screen two days ago and played war thunder on it... IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL! once plaing at 736p at low settings with 40fps and now in 2k60 at the highest possible settings (without SSAO) Such an upgrade, I love it

When you enter my gym you sometimes find and older guy named Ray at the door greeting you. Nicest guy in the World. One day I was talking with him and since I was a flight medic in the USAF (Organic cargo in the back of a C130) the topic of flight came up. He said he had enough of flying in Korea flying CAS in P-51 Mustang. Just blew my mind.

that tandem flying with other player in the FW 190 and seeing the BV spraying rounds at the cap like a gunship are some of the things that makes playing warthunder fun to play (almost) :-)

not sure if it's modeled in the game but the pony does a magnificent snap roll that bleeds speed immediately.. at full speed right rudder and stick at the same time.. Aces High had it modeled in theirs cause we used to use it frequently to make 109's and 190's overshoot.. got the idea from a old WW2 pilot on a history show, it was his maneuver.. also when guns jam in warthunder it jams them all

This game need realistic enduring confrontation to be permanent in game cause we been having this same mode since 2012. Its hard to get sl now they nerf reward system. It would be fun using this vehicle in realistic endurin confrontation

Ya know, the P-51 played a critical role in the Korean War, specifically the model 30-something, the red version in war thunder. During the early stages of the conflict they specialized in ground striking and sometimes played air superiority duty when jet fighters weren’t available. Their role as ground striking aircraft made them play a crucial role in slowing down and eventually halting North Korean/ CCP forces. In other words the P-51 in a ground attack role is no joke.

It has pretty much the same ordinance as the P 47 just one less bomb and two less 50 cals reason you never see it is because it costs stupid amounts of SL to repair. If they made it cheaper to repair you'd see in battle a lot more because it is an amazingly fun fighter especially in ground rb.

Phlee, try taking out the I-185 (M-82) for CAS. It is really underrated. You have 3 ShVAKs (20mm) with powerful API rounds and a decent ammo load, RBS rockets or 4x100kg/2x250kg (drop in pairs). Imagine what those cannons can do to the weakly armored roofs of Pz. IVs etc. Looking forward to the I-185 (M-82) CAS video!

Phly! CA Lorraine - super fast TD needs some love from you! You don't see many of them on the battlefield, but they are absolute monsters, sneaky, quick, can literally flank other TD's and tanks, turn fight them and it's gun is also very good for it's BR. (This is 3rd day, but with some month-long gap XD)

eventually we will get the Cavalier Turbo Mustang's/Piper PA-48 Enforcer through some kind of event - although right now it seems that anything actually interesting will instead come through battlepass leaving events with less interesting stuff - and then we will have a proper Ground-Attack P-51 the Cessna A-37 and the YA-9 (A-10 competitor) will probably be added as well, not much different from the SAAB 105

On all P-51 variants with .50 cals, when you get down to around 600 rounds of ammo, only the two inner guns continue to fire as they have longer belts than the two outer guns. An odd quirk of the P-51s, as idk any other aircraft which does this.
