This is so nice, being a red/yellow/green, I bought this book just because of the title without knowing anything about it, it blew my mind! So many things make sense now, I hope my relationship with, my (only) red, father gets better 🙏 Thank you

Yeah it seems like we're all surrounded by a pack of laughing human hyenas at times! Scarface's famous line: "I'm surrounded by idiots" in The Lion King.

I love this book at a certain point, in his categorisation I am a 🔵 also a 🟢, but I don't see humans being categorised only in those, I know this is his idea, but like everything else in the universe: there is still room for improvement. Great book, especially when it is written from somebody that knows his craft.

good day so I am reading this book at this stage, still on page 40, I think a have a lot of green and a hint of blue, but I want to know from you the people the following. so as a green male, I feel that these traits of helping people and going out of your way are needy and a way of seeking approval and as a male don't come of as very masculine attributes or maybe I don't really know what it means to be masculine. so my question is to all of you are these traits not considered needy and unmuscline? or is it just my interpretation of society?

Hi friend, I know this comment is old but maybe I can help you. Masculinity is a very important factor that nowadays we don't have many examples of what to follow. Green really has a very Feminine side. A tip I give you is not wanting to forcefully change an important part of it, but improving your body language, confidence and way of speaking will help you a lot. a book called "Models" can help you a lot. Especially if you want help with that male part

To add to this.. My strongest is green and yellow. Back when I was dating I had a period where I always ended up in dreaded the friendship zone... I had just done my first sales training and was taught the power of open ended questions. I was a master of getting friends with girls... which is not what I wanted at the time... After reading old school mystery and David Deangelo I realized that there is a time for attraction and a time for getting to know each other. So by using cocky funny and playing a bit harder to get in the beginning I could create attraction. Was attraction was created I could go back to asking questions and being my green me... :) This was a long time ago when I was dating, now I am happily married.

@@prado0089 hey Thanks for your reply. I actually know Models quite well. Unfortunately I got to know it a little late for my current situation. But thanks again for the advice. Good to see there are people who like a more healthy approach to masculinity like Mark Manson's.

"Almost the only “scientific” reference that Erikson provides in his book is from a book written in 1928 called the Emotions of Normal People, by American psychologist William Moulton Marston. Moulton hypothesised that our behaviour is influenced by “psychonic energy” that is transferred through a web of nerve cells that he called “psychons”. The four personality types (yellow, green, blue and red) arise, Marston claims, as variations between different people in the structure of their psychonic network. This “theory” is pure speculation on the part of Marston. There was no scientific evidence for psychons or psychonic energy in 1928 and there is none today. At the time of publication, the science of psychology was in its infancy and, like Hippocrates and Jung before him, he had created a theory without proper scientific grounding. Unlike Hippocrates and Jung though, Marston’s theory garnered little attention, and he left psychology. He later rose to fame though when he created the comic book hero Wonder Woman! [.....] In summary, the four-colour model is based on a theory that has no scientific basis, has been subject to no rigorous testing and gives confusing and contradictory results. It is, quite simply, pseudoscience." took 2 min. to google

It's the system that psychologists use on regular basis. I have been examined this way when I was younger, before the book ever existed. Also, they teach this system in high schools. Melancholic, Sangvinic, flegmatic, choleric. It's nothing new or surprising really. My sister had PhD in psychology and she's using it too. As he said, it's been on for decades, he just described the system neatly in his book.

Yes I agree. It is used in many companies in Sweden and rest of the world and it does improve the communication between the team members.

In my opinion he is the worst interviewer ever, besides the first question, that was innovative.
