A good strat you can use when you have a build up of backline like you did at ~20m: Since 90% the time it's caused by ignoring range upgrades, you switch over to investing immediately in ranged damage and save the rest of your money. Then you time it so that when your wave is about to get to their barracks you have a hero and all your melee reinforcements show up. Generally they will have to waste a t2 spell and a hero to counter, and if they aren't prepared you can sometimes even wipe a lane. Or you can also time it to bait out their spells and send your reinforcements together with the spawn immediately following your wave and just clean up after they've wasted everything. It's useful in situations like the one you were in because you could easily secure that gold mine even though it's closer to him. And yeah you get less gold because less enemies, but you also don't need to invest any more gold in that side until he dies so you can focus on upgrades and dominate in other lanes instead. Also I don't think your -50% assumption for the glaives is quite right, but even if you calculate it that way you could still say it's a 93.75% damage boost skill, diffused throughout the wave, and that doesn't include the 20% attack speed. Factoring in the attack speed as well makes it a bonus 132.5% additional damage dealt total, spread through the enemies forces. If I saw a skill that said at rank 4 it would add 132% to base damage I'd buy it first every time. ... Although, I don't know if armour damage reduction is only applied at the start, or before every bounce lands... that could make it less worth it. I dunno, I'd still get it just for the 20% attack speed tbh. Plus since the damage part is calculated separately from other damage multipliers, it's effectively a cumulative rather than additive multiplier. I.E. if you had a 20% damage boost skill and a 10% aura, you would normally get 30% bonus damage due to how the game calculates things. Whereas the bounce attack damage is applied after the rest of the math is done, so if the same 10% damage as in the aura was applied as a bounce instead, the end result is actually a 32% damage increase. The reason why it feels underwhelming is because you'll usually only notice it onscreen when it bounces out of the melee group on it's last or second last hit (like the hit you pointed out in the video on the air unit. It didn't bounce again after that so that was the last bounce - a 6.25% damage hit is always going to look weak).

#1 - have you tried Anti-Magic Shield trait? It might be good to try, not b/c of the spell dmg reduction, but b/c you get a global silence which you can use when you're pushing and right next to the enemy barracks. #2 - For fun I tried calculating how long it takes for the building armor upgrades to be profitable. I hope someone else double checks my math. To make things simple I didn't include the time spent actually upgrading since I didn't feel like calculating that. Based on my math, on level 1 where you get 25g every 30 secs and it costs 500g, it will take 10 minutes to break even once the upgrade is researched (500g / 25g = 20 ticks of income, then 20 x 30 sec = 600 sec or 10 min until you break even). Level 2 gives you 50g every 30 secs, but my logic was that you're paying 575g to get that extra 25g income, so you should do the same calculation but with 575g as the cost. If my logic was correct, for level 2 since you're getting an additional 25g compared to level 1, my math was (575g / 25g = 23 ticks of income, then 23 x 30 sec = 690 sec or 11.5 minutes). Then I continued with adding an additional 75g total cost per level to get an additional 25 g per 30 secs. Final results were: Level 1 = 10 min to break even Level 2 = 11.5 min Level 3 = 13 min Level 4 = 14.5 min Level 5 = 16 min Level 6 = 17.5 min

that black orbs attack your mages when they cast spells and deals damage based on how much mana they spend. its like pugna's 3rd skill from dota 2.

The source of magic is very powerful. I would even say is considerably more powerful than blood for blood. The downside is that you need gold, as long as you have gold to max out the blood magic upgrade. And a thousand or so gold, and spent is on empowerment. You would deal. 960? Damage per wave with 2 Mage. You can send extra Mage on a lane that being pushed, to instantly destroy a large wave due to Phoenix wave. Along with the fact that you get more mana on your base, more mana regeneration. Also with the fact that you can pick a aura that give bonus mana regeneration, so you can throw out tier 1 spell and tier 2 spell, like is it nothing. The base defense attack boost is also nice. So in my opinion, you won't need any base defense or lane push aura. Since you have a Mage that can easily destroy a large wave, along with base attack upgrade that help defend. So logically, picking mana regeneration is the only good option, as it could defensive and offensive. So lForward, the next time you get blood elf, try going this bonus again and pick mana regeneration aura.

38:26 looks like wc3 standart fairy dragon anti magic spell, where they become an orb and damage any unit in range casting a spell.

It was 3 player game as tawren was no factor. Late game you couldn't push naga it was max upgrade lane vs max upgrade lane with t4 replaycment so its logic you would lose. Heroes or bonus sends would brake that status quo

Esta partida se hizo innecesariamente larga, por que escoger el mana Steal, Con las UW lo ganabas desde hace 30 minutos, dudas mucho bro. haces cosas que no le veo sentido. pero bueno espero puedas leer este comentario y entender mi punto.
