Ok, for everyone saying "just use the gas." Say you're out hiking for a week or two. You going to worry about a bottle of gas the entire time, or this paste? Yes, there's STILL the bottle that has to be carried and all that but anyone who's ever poured TOO MUCH trying to do this will know just how dangerous it is. This way is far more safe and efficient. IMO of course.

You're exactly right. And anyone that's ever used gas to start a fire knows the gas burns off relatively quickly. It is especially hard to get wet wood burning. This concoction would allow the fire to burn long enough to get coals going which end result would be enough coals to get the wet wood burning. Give one person the amount of gas he poured in that bottle on top of that soap and tell them go get the fire started. And then give another person the soap gas concoction and I guarantee you the soap concoction gets a fire going way easier even if the wood is wet. Half of the people making these stupid claims of just use gasoline have never even made a fire in the wilderness.

You're right in that this is safer than just gas, but I think it's still a bit silly. If I'm going to the effort of preparing a firestarter ahead of time it's not going to be napalm in a plastic bottle.

😊 Мыло всё горит, бензин его растворяет, превращая в пасту или крем ( как вам будет удобнее). Можно не заморачиваться с тёркой, я остатки мыла резала на кусочки. Правда, времени надо больше чтобы всё превратилось в однородную массу. Мне этот розжиг понадобится для огорода сжечь траву и прочее.😊

Можно заранее приготовить на даче такой розжиг в большой бутылке и пользоваться им долго для растопки бани, костра и любой печки. Хватает буквально одной столовой ложки, горят даже мокрые дрова!😅 В поход лучше брать небольшую бутылочку!😊

Сделала так себе розжиг для плиты и сырых дров, отлично возгорается и хватает надолго, в лесу ,тундре ,геологам ,путешественникам ,рыбакам и охотникам, очень полезная вещь. Была газовая горелка ,, да просто газ вытек ,кто не знает не пробовал не язвите, нехорошо. Кому надо тот сделает дома и возьмет с собой.

Starting a fire with just gasoline is extremely dangerous. it puts out fumes that collect on the ground, so when you light it every where close by goes up in a fireball.

Hands down the best and cleanest also easiest Firestarter I've been using for years is petroleum jelly smeared into cotton. It is quick lighting, decent burn time and cab be moved around if needed, tiniest amount necessary, and it has no harmful or unpleasant fumes. I also took cotton cordage I got somewhere like literally just rope made of cotton, and I smeared them with it to see and cut strips and you can basically preset a fire in successive layers and light and wait and then add larger pieces as needed.

Styrofoam and gas works great too and make a great molotov cocktail if you are in need of such a thing. Whatever works and best fits the situation, but I think I'd save my soap and fuel. Just use pine tar, fat wood, mix wood ash from a fire into a cotton ball and roll it between 2 flat blocks of wood with a good amount of friction and you can get yourself a real nice glowing amber to start kindling in no time. My thoughts are the more of nature you can use, the less you dig into supplies, and pine trees are everywhere

And id say to be considered "survival camping" itd have to be done in an environment that tests your survivability, not your skill in pre-planning easy mode. I grew up being told gas melts thru certain plastics, like a milk jug, water bottle, remember those videos of people usually (woman) filling those thin ass clear plastic bags in the trunks or boot of the car? Then they burst. Cuz it melted. If you saw what I saw the gasoline was in a glass bottle. Prolly cuz glass is cheaper than an empty water bottle. But then again I've seen Gatorade bottle meth. Yes meth made with all the corrosive ingredients into one bottle. You have to burp it regularly or it'll pop. I think i saw it in a Viceland episode. With that who needs fire when your body is already burning up, you won't need to stop or rest bc meth. They should add plastic bottle meth to the game day z. It's already real enough. Then you won't have to spend so much time sleeping, eating, getting warm. You'll just be able to loot 24/7.
