Tinder is the foundation of starting a solid fire. Kevin Estela breaks down manmade vs natural tinder and how to select and use tinder to easily and quickly start a fire, even in difficult environments. Manmade options are often most effective, as they light easier and burn longer than the natural counterpart. If manmade tinder isn't an option, the great outdoors are abundant with dry, dead leaves and bark that will work very well for lighting your fire. A Ferro rod and your knife will be essential tools for this, giving you a spark to start a fire. Watch as Kevin Estela demonstrates these techniques as well as others.

Thank you Kevin. I never leave home without belly button lint. It's a manmade tinder, that works the best.

When I'm out hunting I always look for hunks of dried pitch on trees . Just break that off and it works really good . Also, dryer lint.just put some in a baggie and put it in your kit . Just a couple that I use .

@@stevep7608 You're referring to the dryer lint ? If so , I was taught that trick sometime back in my training , but to do it with cotton . I'd do it with the lint but I've never had a problem getting lint started. Thanx tho. I always appreciate good advice. Best to ya bro.

Great video! My fire kit(s) has ignition sources and accelerants. Accelerants I carry are: petroleum jelly, hand sanitizer, bicycle inner tube, and trioxane (and HEET if I have an alcohol stove). I also carry candles, like small birthday candles, to save the fuel of my ignition sources.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This life isn't all there is, and time to be saved is running out. If you are not born again, call on Jesus Christ today. If you will ask Jesus Christ with a genuine heart to please forgive all your sins and come into your heart and please save you, he will save you and you will soon know how real he is. God bless.
@sparrowflying864
@sparrowflying864 3 жыл бұрын
Asking Jesus in your heart does nothing. You have to repent by going to the river confessing your sins and taking John's baptism of repentance according to Acts2:38. That's repenting.
@jesussavesus2210

@@sparrowflying864 I'm not going to argue about this, as I am taking from personal experience. And got saved and baptised by the Holy Ghost over 4 years ago. Do you really think God is not going to save someone who cries out to him with a genuine heart, because they don't have anyone to baptise them, obviously not.
