Hello Corporals Corner, Thank you for this honest review on my knife design! I really appreciate it. It is great to see my knife in the hands of a real outdoors man with actual experience in the field and I am glad that you liked it. In about 2 months the APO-1 will come out with a carbon steel and a tool steel besides the AUS8. Which ones are still a secret, ....it is always great if people can choose from more than one steel, since every person has different personal preferences. All the best. Lilly

For the price, you can get a cold steel srk in cpm3v, i own the srk in aus8 and cpm3v and the 3v model blows the aus8 out of the water, just saying. just because a "survivalist" youtuber put her name on a knife doesn't make it a great knife. and for those who are going to say 3v is hard to sharpen probably need to learn how to sharpen knives

@@lancewalker6067 That isn't really saying much at all. Of course anyTHING can break. But the point is about hard use steels. And a company testing steel by hanging 800 lbs sideways tells us very little. Do that over and over, NOW that's a test. Metal fatigues over time. And it's a hard thing to test. Long term use for decades by many people, that says something. "Any knife will break". Duh. Yeah, I'm sure our best scientists created the most magnificent things using that philosophy.

I have a couple of blades in Aus-8 that have performed well over the long haul. I have no complaints with it honestly. I would always choose my high carbons just as you when given a choice. Cool that you had the opportunity to put it through the paces. As with any knife, the user is is what makes it shine. Good review Shawn.

An excellent review! I have 2 APO-1's, one black oxide and one satin and gave 2 more away as gifts. Probably the best knife for batoning in my opinion, SRK is good too though. As far as the Taiwan comments, I've seen bad knives come out of just about every country you can name including the USA, but this knife rocks in all categories. Lilly is the only one I have seen to do a full blown destructive test on her own product. Again you do awesome reviews and it's good to see someone who gives results but doesn't push the product. Thanks!
