jess gets headache from speaking too much chinese, I have headache from processing her Chinese. haha. but honestly it really did improve towards the end. unbelievably much to enjoy from her broken Chinese! Great content!

I went China for some summer programme and got utterly pwned. The menus are not so simple as "jiu rou" "niu rou". Instead they have super complicated names like "flying bamboo ultimate phoenix chicken jade rice". I ended up picking the dishes with "ji" inside because that was the only thing I recognized.

Just curious, is she a local (sg/my) Chinese or Indo Chinese by background? The former and latter requires different learning curves in terms of practice and usage

After watching Jess do all the previous content. This felt like her test and even though she threw in the English words here and there, I generally felt her Chinese was so much better here than the previous CLB episode.

Jess..... i give you high salutation for being confident. I suffer the same experience in Taiwan😂😂 I remember struggle in McD for 10 mins just to order Filet O Fish n the McD crew could only speak Chinese😂

Maybe instead of just pasting stickers on Jess, the producers could probably correct and reach her the correct mandarin term to use on the spot. Like that both Jess and the viewers can also learn Chinese at the same time.

did she grow up in SIngapore and went to local singapore schools? no way her chinese is this bad if she grew up in singapore...i understand differing standards depending which schools u attended...but this mandarin is even worse than some of my ABC friends who grew up in the US
