Naghmeh Panahi survived persecution from extremists in Iran, only to face persecution from Christians after divulging her husband’s abuse.
Now the woman behind the #SaveSaeed campaign speaks out about brokenness, betrayal and wholeness-a talk that's truly a prophetic witness to the church today.
This program was also released as an audio podcast and transcript on Jan. 30, 2024:

After Dr. Graham died I stopped my financial support of his ministry because I didn’t see the same anointing on his son. I saw and felt an aura about Franklin that didn’t feel good or right. It’s been several years now and I’m so blessed to have redirected my monies to a more humble and anointed ministry. Thank you for sharing your story!! I was one of your supporters who did advocate in my sphere of influence for Saeed and was devastated by the truth of your marriage. Thank you for your courage and faithfulness to Jesus and to the Muslim community.🙏🏼✝️🙏🏼

Thank you Naghmeh and Julie. And kudos to Anne Graham Lotz for standing with you against her brother. You are both a great comfort to so many of us whose hearts have been broken. Being trampled on by the church is something no one thinks will ever happen to them - until it does.

God uses the humble and broken. Anyone who thinks they can cover up their sin eventually find themselves humbled. Notice how Naghmeh's husband divorced her. He was afraid of being transparent and to be accountable to other men. Everyone needs to be surrounded by others who will tell them what they need to hear. I am grateful for the men in my life who have told me what I needed to hear. God knows our heart and works from the inside out. God knows our heart and he knows the hypocrites. He opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble.

Thank you. She's an example of someone who has endured much and still serves the Lord. God bless you, Naghmeh.

It is no accident that God raised up a woman who endured persecution from both the Muslim and the Christian religious establishment. The purging of her heart by God through this suffering is what we who want more of God will shortly be gong through. Hearing her I immediately recognized her as my sister in Jesus, because of her endurance of persecution. If you follow Jesus you will experience persecution, andmarginalization, and rejection. We will all have to endure divorce from the church system God is even now reforming into a community of people wholly responsive to Him. This too is is no accident in her testimony.

I so love Naghmeh's passion for Jesus and for the Church. This is a hard story but there is so much light shining through the holes left by wounds. May He continue to use your story for the healing of the Church and in so doing, bring healing to you in redemption of tender places. All the best to you, Naghmeh.

What was especially revealing and encouraging for me to hear was the reminder that the shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I think there is a disproportionate amount of Honor and praise that is given to church leadership in many churches. I think we are called to honor and respect all of our brothers and sisters.... Not especially the pastors. I am very excited about what God is doing right now in the church, including what he is doing through this ministry. I experienced a lot of Injustice and abuse that was mingled with "Church". I see that God is now addressing a lot of these issues and it's also educating me so that I don't add to the problem. I so long to be a part of an awesome encouraging ministry team but have mainly experienced dysfunction. I'm starting to hope the future may look differently❤❤❤

I see very few positive comments to you. I had a person who bragged about working for Franklin Graham physically attacked me bc i told him as a Christian he should not verbally abuse his employees. You are not alone. How it got to this point in America is hard to figure out. God has spoken to me about encouraging people to not let the disobedient experts push them away from their place in His kingdom.

@markgoff7076

@user-wj3jg9sz2u the main reason I pointed this out was to let the person know that other people also are badly treated by people in these religious groups who seem to operate on the principle: "the end justifies the means..." . The person was restrained, I was terminated. A local church featured him as an evangelist, a great example of what their religion does to transform people.... and he probably made a lot of positive changes...but the church must address the reality that people like the women who is speaking about repression abuse from her then spouse needs to be properly valued and cared for so as to be healed. In other words for her story to have a happy ending, and that includes all involved, she needs to be properly regarded as a person and not just a person who follows a script for public image concerns.

This is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone else, other than myself, talk about what it’s like to be persecuted by other believers. I have experienced this, and I’ve often wondered why the Bible doesn’t address it. The New Testament talks a lot about being blessed for suffering persecution for Christ’s name, but nowhere does it talk about what to do when you’re persecuted by those who claim to be followers of Christ, themselves.

Because a true disciple of Christ and child of God would not persecute anyone. 2 Tim. 2:19-26 “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.”

Psalm 55:6-14 I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and find rest. How far away I would flee! In the wilderness I would remain. Selah I would hurry to my shelter, far from this raging tempest.” O Lord, confuse and confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city. Day and night they encircle the walls, while malice and trouble lie within. Destruction is within; oppression and deceit never leave the streets. For it is not an enemy who insults me; that I could endure. It is not a foe who rises against me; from him I could hide. But it is you, a man like myself, my companion and close friend. We shared sweet fellowship together; we walked with the crowd into the house of God.

Jesus…. Literally killed by supposed followers of God. Every single New Testament book is written to the Church addressing issues IN the church.

God does not tolerate abuse *within His Church.* Authority to rebuke sin has been given all followers of Christ. When authority figures use Christ given authority to abuse they have violated Christ.

Before you donate to parachurch organizations get the IRS 990 Form for nonprofits. It will list the salaries unless it gets redacted by the organization. Christian music is multi billion dollar industry, and books are based on profit and not sound doctrine.

She’s not attacking biblical purity. She’s attacking a culture that is understood by that name. For example: women only being allowed to wear dresses that are well below the knee, not being able to wear anything but neutral colors, couples not being able to even hold hands before getting engaged etc. etc.

I was never part of the Purity movement as a Christian and hardly even heard of it so we did not raise our children that way. When you delve into it, it sounds like an over-reaction to our culture which is so depraved. It puts people under the law again.
