No they dont give happiness. But you can use them as "walls" to funnel attacking animals to certain spots with guard towers since they cant walk throu the decoration :P

You need certain part from map harvested with a outpost you build. They are often on edge of map for me. Its a long process.

Scout towers will slowly reveal more area. Destroy them when scouting reaches 100%

No they dont. Which is pretty silly. Even the big solar doesn need to connect to a transformer in order to send it too the battery. But funny enough if you place a transformer near solar anyway, it will connect like its needed :P I placed all my solar in a long line with 5 space between each edge , spreading them out make them not all get damaged at same time when a meteor or other stuff happen. They are kinda anoying to repair in term of material they cost. I tried with only 3 spaces, but meteor can hit on emty space and damage solar on both side stil then :)

My suggestion is, if you don’t need the structure for immediate survival turn it off during the storm, including the transformers. Most likely that should everything as there shouldn’t really be anything that threatens the colonists lives. It’s a small sacrifice to not produce resources if the extractors survive longer. They will still get hit but not as damaged. Try to build a lightning tower in an empty area and put all of your turbines in its radius, that way it gets hit by lightning not your power producers

@@bigpapaophi6350 I did that but still went bad fast when all together lol , it is either that the storm strikes are to strong or the amount , because it was constant strike after strike on buildings and I would say too long , im sure mine lasted for 1 to 2 days of constant strikes on buildings and structures every second just striking multiple structures at the same time time, so the majority of things were destroyed in the first 4 to 5 hours in game time ,I think its over powered alot lol , but that was my game and it is only on 70 % difficulty lol , maybe other someone has had different experience, but I have read alot of reviews and everyone has said the same thing about the electrical storm , but that is the only bad thing I have read about it so it was still a good game up untill then lol , I hope you can add like a proper warehouse to store alot of things because in my game the biggest warehouse could only hold 1500 items roughly with alot of empty boxes left spare , but I look forward to seeing if you can fix the storm problem and add new things to build and maybe I can play it more and enjoy it again , thank you for reply

I place electrical stuff with atleast 5 space between each part (often more) . Seem to make the "jumping lightning" do less. Also they are hard to lose all at once. Meteor cant really do much to them either then. Also making not everything connected in one big network helps. I like having 4 "zones" , each with a battery, transformers. I never build protection towers, they feel like pure waste of resources. And use solar mate ... they can fill batteries even tho not connected to anything lol. Just have repair building near them incase they get hurt if you dont wanna "babysit" them. And if i have two similar building workshop i place one in each there zone so i only lose one if a zone goes down. Also in over 140 days in my latest playthrou i hade ONE storm only . Nearly done with the game now. edit: tried fix my shitty english abit :P
