Congrats to Maryanne. When she had her _huge_ meltdown over Jackson, whom she'd only known for two days, getting evacuated, I doubted that she'd have the emotional fortitude needed for the game. I was especially bewildered when I read the spoiler saying that she would win. But she just proved me wrong week after week after week! Her moves as the game went on, particularly in the endgame, were excellent, and her jury performance was beyond expectations! Well-earned victory!

This was the first season I watched where I felt like everyone at this point was deserving of winning. Not just the final three but the final six as a whole. I can easily say this is one of the best casts we've had. Congratulations to Maryanne!

Maryanne was a badass player and a hella deserving winner! I’m noticing that the more UTR players have been really taking the cake recently. Maryanne’s timing on her move against Omar was highkey perfect and absolutely won her the game. My one knock against her is that her early game was quite poor. That being said however, she clearly knew what her flaws were and gradually played a better and better game as the season progressed. I rank her just above Erika on my winner rankings.

Intense episode and FTC. Honestly great ending! Maryanne did SO good and I’m so happy for her! Romeo I feel like deserves a little more praise for his old school gameplay that was fun. Overall , amazing season and entertaining and better than 41 imo!

I like how they blindsided the viewers as well. We know that it will be unanimous if they don't show any of the voting confessionals, so when that first vote was Mike, I thought for sure Mike had won unanimously

Man the fact that a Canadian has won two season in row is great I really though a Canadian was going to win seen final 10

There are a lot of similarities of season 41 and 42, they both featured 3 teams of 6, there are 2 people from each season smashed the sandclock and changed the history, both victims of that thing are women, two people did Do or Die successfully, both winners are women, Canadians, not won the final immunity but being saved, won with 7-1-0 and definitely DESERVING!!!

Back to back seasons that: 1.Canadian was won the game 2. The jury vote was: 7-1-0 3. Woman won That’s pretty impressive😊

Believe it or not when I first saw Maryann with that big ass smile when they landed, I was like: Omg this gurllll is gold I like her the most. Then she became this underdog of Taku and I was like: Omg I want her to at least make Merge cuz shes my favourite but chances are so low.... then she made merge and I was like: Crap she gonna be booted soon.... I wish she would win but shell never make it..... then even in the finals I was totally thinking most guys would vote for Mike.... For me Maryann is the most deserving winner in 42 seasons! This girl has a heart of gold. Her parents must be proud af! Im super glad about this amazing cast (season 41 cast wasnt that great) and about this very deserving winner! It was more than time again that not only a black woman makes it, but also a YOUNG girl.

I love this finale! This FTC was one of the most positive I've seen and the cast had one of the biggest pops of positivity, i.e. Drea's voteout and the FTC. God damn. Best season yet, IMO, hands DOWN.

Mike is slowly becoming the most overrated player this season. He played good pre-merge don’t get me wrong, but his post merge was.. He was a “man of his word” and he was “honourable” but backstabbed all of his allies. Mary-Anne was way better, sure her pre-merge was kinda mediocre but she was so underrated in the merge, her positioning was great and her endgame was fantastic.

So happy Maryanne won! Not really a fan of Mike and Romeo.

How did Survivor go from Richard Hatch, John Cochran, Amber Mariano, Ozzy, Denise, Sandra, Boston Rob, Russell Handz, Parvati. Maryann isn't even on this league.

Ugh. I'm a long time fan of this show, so it disappoints me to see how CBS is handling the cast now with about 2 people 35+ and everyone young now. It's much harder for the non emotional players to win now and some want to vote based on color and gender of a person, which I think is really dumb. I've noticed that it's so much harder for the older folks to do good in these past two seasons because of this younger cast, and it's clearly proven in this. It's just so much more drama filled, and you have more dislikeable cast members than usual (more 41 then 42). I just wish they would do what happened in older survivor seasons, where the winner was crowned based on who played the best, not emotional stories and who the jury likes the best personality wise. It's just a shame to see the two seasons pretty much end up the exact same; 0-1-rest end vote, the clear player to win not win, winner being chosen to not do fire, winner having lack of moves and game but favored personally, it's just annoying as an older, long-term fan to see a show take such a turn where it's not the same show anymore. I think that's why the older people struggle, because what they're used to is so different now. I would at least like to see a mix on ages instead of getting as much super young people as we can. Sorry for ranting, but I just miss the old seasons was all. 41 has to be my least favorite season ever, and while I more liked the cast in 42, I can't say it was high up in my list. I loved most of the seasons from Koa Rong (sorry if I spelt that wrong) and up, until the 40th season of Winners At Wars. Honestly, all of those seasons I liked better than 41 and 42. I know it's harder now since we have so many new young people watching the show, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of the direction it is taking.

As a women of color, I could not stand Marrianne or Drea. Just angry coniving... and fake woke...and the way they treated Mike and Johnathan...shameful...and racist! If going to the finals with an idol in your pocket makes you strategic, then I am off of survivor. The game is like a victim Olympics. Jonathan should have won. None of these people could survive. Bye basic manipulation and every thing that is wrong with humanity.
