This was probably the closest vote in the show’s history. Bob had the three original Kotas locked, as did Susie with her three Fangs. It all came down to Randy, who hated both of them equally.

He really didn't want to vote for Susie because I think he hated her more than Bob. I don't think he even hated Bob, he was just mad that Bob played him. If Bob didn't own that move and apologize to Randy and tell Randy that he yelled at Sugar for laughing when they got back to camp, Susie would have won

I will never stop loving Gabon. It is most defnitely bad but in the funniest way possible. I love Crystal just screaming in the voting confessional for Randy in Episode 9 haha

Gabon is iconic and I loved every minute. I was also amused by Matty as well because in any other season, he would have thrived but in Gabon, he was wrecked and had his craziness come out just by existing in the tribe. His facial expressions every episode were comically desperate - you could see his soul slipping out with every elimination lol.

This season was a trainwreck, but what a hilarious trainwreck it was. And to cap it off, you have Bob, the winner with arguably the worst final tribal for a winner ever. Marcus got screwed over by the 2nd swap. If Kota lost, Susie goes, and if Fang lost Matty probably goes, and then Marcus probably makes the Final 3 with Charlie and Corinne, and wins pretty handily

It all went wrong when Corinne didn't want to vote out Susie the second time Kota had to go to tribal council. She thought Susie wouldn't flip and convinced everyone to get rid of Dan instead. Even though she didn't like Dan, he would have been more loyal than Susie. If they kept Dan and he took her place in the second swap, I think he would have stayed loyal to Bob and Marcus and Kenny would have been voted out instead.

Gabon is honestly one of my favorite seasons. And Bob is my favorite survivor ever. He reminds me so much of my chemistry teacher who builds stuff, is an outdoorsman oh and is from Maine (albeit my chemistry teacher moved here to Kentucky to teach).

as someone who watches super smash bros competitve for years and also recently binging survivor for the first time, when I saw Ken here I was so surprised, but damn he didnt disapoint, imo he played very good and its a shame he never was brought back

Don’t forget that in true Gabon fashion, the 2 most deserving returnees haven’t come back (Kenny and Matty) while Sugar and Randy freaking Bailey made Heroes vs Villains.

Matty was asked back in an unknown season but he declined Kenny was an alternate for Heroes vs Villains and cut from Blood vs Water

Of course Randy had to come back for Heroes vs. Villains! I think they brought Sugar back because they could pit her against Randy as a hero and because of how well she did and how far she got. I don't think they were expecting her to be a first boot.

In today’s game, I think Sugar would have won this season unanimously. She wasn’t great at the end with the jury, but she knew they didn’t like or respect her.

Yeesss, Merry Christmas to me!! My messy ass loves the trainwrecks, Gabon has always been god tier and this perfectly encapsulates why.. that handheld, slingshot, golfing challenge is fuckin' iconic, not to mention Marcus hangin' dong in an early challenge. 😹😹

Yes, that ball game on the hill was cool. Ace poked his eye. Then Randy said "Freeze Ace," and the ball went passed him. Don't remember if that was the ball that won it for Randy's tribe.

Haven't watched the full season, but i have to ask, how did Randy and Sugar return over Matty and Kenny, and also why was Sugar a Hero, when all the clips of her in Gabon seems to show her as a spoiled brat

What a perfect ending to Randy. He started out a grumpy old man and ended his story as a grumpy old man, who now hates everyone. Truly, Gabon is the season that keeps on giving.
