@@adnimotapel4797 but compared to Jimison . Steve is not dedicated to journey for a long long time even if he is still can hit a high notes while Jimison dedicated his life to Survivor and even have a duo with Bickler. So for me they are both nice in different ways. Think about it.

I agree on the part where fs overplays and the drummer comes in times where not necessary.. too much. It's a beautiful song. For me jimi Jamison was and always will be one of the greatest voices that ever was of our time and from survivor , but this kid does a good job holding his own singing search he has a beautiful voice.

Jimi Jameson and Dave Bickler were/are equally the best! Jimi was beautiful inside/out, but don't forget who the Fore-Father, Lead Singer is! Dave Bickler, also so amazing Male Vocalist! The one that started it all with Survivor, starting with the Debut Album "Survivor". Their 2nd amazing, powerful and resonant Album "Premonition" ... a Rock Classic also. "Poor Man Son", the biggest Hit off that album. Dave, bang-up pro-powerful Vocals on that too. I really enjoy singing that song too. My face as a Teenager. Then the #1 Iconic powerhouse Album, their 3rd Album, :Eye Of The Tiger". I sing all the songs on it too. Just for Vocal Warmups, before I do my own Tunes! To keep this Comment from getting any longer, I praise both Jimi and Dave for their prolific songwriting and powerhouse Vocals, forever! The new kid on the block, has pretty big shoes to fill. I take my Hat off to Cameron Barton for his amazing talent efforts and performance, top notch! Cameron, has greatly improved his Vocals over the past 2 years! He sings a beautiful rendition of "The Search Is Over"! Most of Survivor's songs are very hard to sing. I know at first was hard for me. Now it's a piece of cake! Only Jimi's voice fits his songs.. Other's can sing, but not with the same vocal warmth that captivates your emotions.

I am of the opinion there could have been better in terms of voice, but they needed someone with the looks I am guessing to market to a younger audience as well. He sings too effortlessly with not enough grit, there isn’t any dynamics like soft or loud so he ends up sounding a bit bland for me. Even the back up singer has more soul.

I agree! Unfortunately, I never got to see Jimi perform live so I can't compare, but Cameron does a fine job and he is getting better and better as he hones his craft and stage presence. He had improved a lot in the one year between shows that I saw him singing lead with Survivor.
