Les travels to Northern India to survive with no food, no water, no shelter and no camera crew. Leopards, snakes, territorial honey bees and the infamous Royal Bengal tiger all pose threats to Les’s survival. But the animals he’s been cautioned about the most? Wandering herds of wild elephants.The constant threat of predators has Les surviving on high alert. He journeys small pathways through the forest, trails nomads have carved out over hundreds of years that lead to and from ancient jungle temples, in search of wild edibles and fresh water. This area is listed as the densest tiger territory in Northern India, so building shelter on the ground is not an option. He lights fire with elephant dung and endures sleepless nights by firelight, ever-vigilant for signs of tiger attack. It is a test of willpower and endurance: India is like nowhere Les has survived before.

This video is a SHINING example of why Les Stroud is the finest survival instructor on the global stage. Not only does he demonstrate a careful, considered, methodical approach to survival, he never fails to also demonstrate respect for the land and the people and culture of that land (and in this particular case, the religion). Thank you Mr. Stroud for putting these on KZfaq for all of us to enjoy.

This is honestly the only episode that I've watched that had me nervous and scared for Les. The thought of a lurking tiger is terrifying.

This was the only episode where I actually legit feared for Les Stroud. Every other episode was about surviving harsh weather and climate, finding food, building shelter, etc. But this episode was entirely about predators hunting you down.

There is a reason why Les is the best in the Biz. He could have easily never mentioned the guards who kept watch over him but he kept things real as he always does. The reality is that going into that forest with well-documented man-eating tigers alone would be a deadly decision, to say the least. I think this is one of his most impactful episodes because if a world-renowned survival expert needs armed guards to safely exist in a place your everyday adventure junky has no business anywhere near. Thank you Les for keeping it real and saving lives to this very day.

I cannot express into words how grateful I am that Les has put all these survivorman episodes up on his channel. I couldn't tell you how many hours I've spent watching over the last 3 weeks since I discovered this channel. I have to say that the director commentaries are by far my favorite, and can only hope that they keep on coming. Thank you Les!!!! You are the man.

Mr. Stroud has done a really nice job in these episodes. This show brought me closer to my young son back when the show started and my wife suddenly decided to end our marriage. So my son, having to deal with divorcing parents at just 6 years old had a really hard time, but the show's content is so interesting with such beautiful scenery my son who had to deal with ADD besides his parents separating, was totally captivated. 15 years later, now at age 21, he still brings up how this show helped occupy his thoughts and his emotional pain. I told him about the directors cut and he's all over those now. All thanks to this great man, Mr. Stroud.

Les stroud is the best survival expert on KZfaq that's to me. Just from watching his videos got me into survival now Iv been training for 10 years now it's awesome to learn all new techniques
