I can't for the life of me find a proper picture, but i swear the original ones we first got when i was a kid, did actually have metal parts on the outer ring. You could generally tell just but the sear weight of the thing. Then ofc 2nd gen came in due to 'children injures' use to be sick being able to replace the parts and feel the quality difference from ones made now days -.- Sad reality is they just don't make stuff like they use to... all about quantity not quality :(

Same here but my friends and I used a T shaped pipe connector, we put a stick in the middle of it and wrap the string around it, it worked extremely well

Beyblade for Big Boys. Using a Motorcycle drive cog is kind of genius, but it most certainly requires the cement arena with a tire around it because these blades would destroy the normal arenas! LOL the hard part is getting blades all the same size as the heavier, thicker ones definitely have the advantage of mass. Great idea using old scrap, so it's totally cheap as dirt! Another good idea is to turn some of those cogs into fidget spinners, add a ceramic 686 bearing in the middle and even cut and put a chain around the outseld of the cog and you have a super heavy fidget spinner that would spin for half an hour!!! LOL

I did it with a bicycle headset that separates the handlebars from the frame and with a soap cap in the middle, it was less aggressive and caused more sparks due to its rough edge. an epic battle guaranteed

In real battle, you need to mark owner's name on it. Because both beyblade is similar so you don't know who is winner if one knockout the other one! With the owner name on it, you will know who is the owner, easier to know the winner! 🤣
