Record heat wave, 5,000 die in United States, 1,100 in Canada! Record drought, hurricanes, tornadoes in the Midwest, earthquakes, snow blizzards in the north, were all gonna die!!! Oh wait, this was in 1934, I’m bad!

@@seanl67 307 - 310 PPM (the range from 1930 to 1940) and currently it's 409 PPM. Heads up PPM notice.... plants start to die at levels below 165 PPM, depending on plant species and tolerances that number is higher or lower, generally lower. Greenhouses are often put to 1,000 to 1500 PPM to increase the size and health of the crops. My question has always been simple.... Since plants are the foundation of the food web, why are we so worried about them getting a healthier environment? Doesn't it basically means more food for creatures that eat plants? These alarmists are idiots.

Real scientists are suggesting that we are in a phase of global cooling. Once we shut down our ability to use coal for energy, more of us should be able to freeze to death in the dark. My buddy and I are in our late sixties and are regularly and truly glad that we are as old as we are. The real emergency is a shortage of brain cells.

@Timothy Mostad Uh no... a lot of people that call bullshit on the sea level argument DO live close to the shore. Their property sizes, and value are surveyed by people on a regular basis for tax reasons and they haven't seen any changes. So tell me again how property surveyors are so terrible at their job that they screw up where the ocean is on official records......

This is a disinformation video. Until recent years, the Arctic's thick multi-year ice did not melt off during the summer because of it's 6-12 ft thickness. But now, it's nearly gone. So the remaining ice is relatively thin, which means the habitat for seals is greatly expanded. Seals live on relatively thin ice about 2 to 3 ft thick because they need to dig breathing holes. Greater seal habitat means more seals, and more food for polar bears. But, as the Arctic ice continues to shrink, so does the habitat for seals and bears. During the summer of 2020, the Arctic ice will probably melt off completely for the first time in over 3 million years. Some ice will return the following winter, but at this rate, it won't be long before we will see an ice free Arctic year round. I'm pretty sure that will not bode well for the polar bears and seals. Two of many links: news.mongabay.com/2019/07/arctic-in-free-fall-2019-sea-ice-volume-sinks-to-near-record-for-june/ oceanconservancy.org/blog/2018/12/19/dramatic-decline-multiyear-arctic-sea-ice/

@@computerworks1075 "Probably" does not equate to fact, for the last 30yrs or more we have been assured by idiots like you the Arctic would be "ice free" without question, now it's probably? Your words are hollow just like the rubbish science that supports them.
@computerworks1075
@computerworks1075 4 жыл бұрын
@@MrNodstar Well, I never claimed to be a climate scientist and it's obvious that neither are you. I wasn't going to mention this, but someone, most likely the US gov't, has been running massive geoengineering operations in the Arctic in a clearly desperate effort to keep the ice from melting off. Satellite photos in the link clearly show both solar radiation management trails and chemical ice nucleation patterns in the Arctic sea. So, it's tough to know exactly when it will melt off completely, but the ice cap is still shrinking, only slower. www.geoengineeringwatch.org/category/global-meltdown/
@MrNodstar
@MrNodstar 4 жыл бұрын
@@computerworks1075 So your saying that the reason the Arctic isn't melting at the rate predicted is because of human activity?
@computerworks1075
@computerworks1075 4 жыл бұрын
@@MrNodstar Yes, I'm saying that the US and possibly other countries like Russia and Canada are covertly trying to stop the melting of the Arctic ice and so far, it has to be a big win for them. If you recall from the video, the Arctic ice extent dropped to record low in 2012, and then in 2013, it magically rebounded, surprising more than a few climate scientists. However, the ice volume is still dropping fast while the ice extent (area) is not. Chemical ice nucleation freezes the the surface of the sea so that the ice cap appears larger in satellite photos, but it's just inches thick. The ice volume is what's important. This video does not mention the ice volume loss. And the ice extent is still shrinking although at a slower rate. Like I said, the last time the Arctic was ice free was over 3 million years ago. This video does mention the Eemian Interglacial period when, according to the video, the Bering Sea was ice free during the winter. Well fine, but we are talking about the Arctic Sea, not the Bering Sea. These are some of the reasons why I called it a disinformation video.

It's an effort to bring the people under religious control, once again. They're afraid of a free thinking secular society, cus the people will eventually figure out that big government leads to modern day slavery, with very limited "freedom". The greatest form of control is where you think you're free, when you're being fundamentally manipulated and dictated to. One form of dictatorship is being in a prison cell and you can see the bars and touch them. The other one is sitting in a prison cell but you can't see the bars but you think you're free.

I worked in the Canadian Arctic in the mid 80's and 90's from the Yukon to the central arctic for about 10 years on the Distant Early Warning cold war radar bases including the fox basin area where two inuit were killed. I always remember telling the mechanic that I wanted to see a polar bear and he said its all good until you see foot prints in the snow because we are living here and now we have to watch everytime we go outside which isn't fun anymore. Every year varied when the first snow came how much and how cold but it was called weather back then not global warming or change. Still have co workers who work up North and they all say its so freaking cold in the winter and wish it was warmer. Even the experts only have best guess when it comes to long term predicting of the future and if they are alive and wrong they say Oh Well based on the info we did the best we could.

@@xPowerShotx the graph is not answering the question; what is the cause of that temperature increase! It is an assumption, a postulate, a hypothesis, call it as you like, that CO2, and especially man made CO2 exclusively would be the cause of climate change right now. On top, the net of stations aquiring the data is full of black areas and still the global warming advocates pretending that the data are complete. They are far away from that. For me, all these pushed up news and catastrophes around the CO2 global warming are the reason why I dont believe shit in this regard anymore. This "the poor polar bear is going extinct due to man made CO2" story is one of those. Basic knowledge of Biology and evolution and you knew from the beginning it was a lie. Polar bears are non specialised predators, omnivores, like rats, humans or coakroaches. These kind of species evade evolutionary pressure with ease. But in this heated up climate discussion the function of real scientific findings, laws and facts is being overrated.

I care about the environment implicitly, sustainability is something I care about, but I admit that carbon dioxide emissions seems to have dominated, which frustrates me, and nitrous oxide emissions, impale the motorist when most the emissions come from agriculture, from drainage to fertilizers, most annoying, it's double standards all the time, green supporters usually deride Brexit voters and people who are against mass migration, which madness, in my life time the biggest change to my environment has been the green spaces built on, building in the UK almost always happens in the most environmentally sensitive areas, an area with the least economic output in the wealthiest areas, the little gaps the flood plains, with this in mind, co2 emissions makes me think it's nothing to do with the environment and everything to do with tax and business, get us altogether with poor quality housing, tax us and work us to the hilt.

@@michaelnaven213 Yuh, me too- but they sucked us in with several free issues. Some issues are pretty good but not many and this issue was horrible- especially the comment that there would be no mention of skeptics. Hey, relatively theory still has skeptics and they keep testing it- only to find out it's still good- but the skeptics aren't looked at as lepers the way climate change skeptics are- mostly, of course, because of the immense political implications of this climate hysteria- and how the hard core lefties want to use it to push their revolution: ajustclimate.org/index.html

Very simple way to get it through to the most ardent believer in this nonsense. Just ask them this. If carbon is so dangerous, why can/do we use it to purify water? Watch their face when it sinks in!!

Back in the 90s all the doom-n-gloomers were screaming we only had ten years left. Now they're saying we have 12 years left. SEE?! The PROVES things are looking up! At this rate, by 2050 we could have 15 years left!

Note how the chart shows a "small" and "gradual" decline in Arctic Sea Ice..., at least since 1980? So, while it's true in the recent past there has been a small decline, what other charts show is that if you take the last 100+ years of Arctic Ice, you see there is nothing "catastrophic" occurring, that *the decline is within the NORMAL eb and flow of Arctic Ice formations.* But not only that, if you include "Antarctic" Sea Ice, you find it has INCREASED. In other words, what we are seeing is the normal eb and flow of CLIMATE... nothing close to "serious".

I heard that they changed the way that they calculate sea ice extent in order to make it seem normal when in fact it's just a thin layer of slush rather than thick ice...there are plenty of ways to manipulate data and then support it with studies od reports based on that unsound data, like this one.

@William Baric yeah, I agree with pretty much everything you said. I do have hope that we will see the truth and pay attention to it when we have no other choice. Unfortunately I think we're headed for Venus syndrome and it's past the point of no return. Hence US trying to start WW3 by attacking Iran for false flags our secret government is creating every week or two

The research vessel and icebreaker “Crown Prince Haakon” went northeast of Svalbard on their way to the North Pole, but met thicker and more massive sea ice than expected.”…Thick one-year ice, combined with large batches of multi-year ice. In many places, wind and ocean currents have pushed the ice together into powerful helmets, and several of these are impenetrable to us,” says Captain Johnny Peder Hansen.
