However, the ice volume is still dropping fast while the ice extent (area) is not. Chemical ice nucleation freezes the the surface of the sea so that the ice cap appears larger in satellite photos, but it's just inches thick. The ice volume is what's important. This video does not mention the ice volume loss. And the ice extent is still shrinking although at a slower rate. Like I said, the last time the Arctic was ice free was over 3 million years ago. This video does mention the Eemian Interglacial period when, according to the video, the Bering Sea was ice free during the winter. Well fine, but we are talking about the Arctic Sea, not the Bering Sea. These are some of the reasons why I called it a disinformation video.
