ms. sundfor sings this while seated. still, her incredible voice soars. this isn't easy when your pipes and diaphragm are half their extended length, she is brilliant.

The intro was a nice touch, "Molly Malone" a famous Dublin folk song and a nod to Sinead I can only assume.

Nowhere did I state that Sinéad wrote the song. However, don't forget that Sinéad recorded it first, made it a hit, and her interpretation (both musical and visual) is what made the song a classic. Thus, it is very much her song.

NOT true she didn't record it 1st it was just a HIT by her 1st. Prince recorded it and was performing it before he gave it to her. Literally ANY Prince fan can tell you this and NO it isn't her version or interpretation it is was and will always be a PRINCE tune. NO it isn't her song and you are doing some MAJOR white washing bullshit right now!

Well it's a Prince classic only for Prince fans. Sinéad's recording and video were a vital part of what made the song a classic in the universal sense.

I think the band, mostly the percussion, let Susanne down on this. She deserves a better production value on this. The best covers for me are Sinead (obviously), and Jimmy Scott for piercing your soul.

I will be the first to speak in favour of Susanne, she is a seriously talented artist and I love her music deeply. However I just don't feel this cover; the original has always been in my top 5 songs of all time so this was always going to be a tough approach but in my opinion this didn't gel. I rather think the band itself were devoid of soul and sounded little more than a karaoke tribute act. I'm sorry Susanne, I think you are amazing but this song just didn't work for me :( LOVE undercover and the mountaineers btw :D

Stuart Bradshaw But still o'conners version is also just a cover, it's not the original. But it might be one of the best covers ever done, and prince stopped playing the original after he heard it.

I hear you and agree. I think a lot of it lands on the band though, who are pretty rubbish. Band I've seen her playing with on other live clips on KZfaq are way better.
