I still remember Sushmita Sen in 1994. Before the Miss Universe final night in Manila, she was one of my top five favorites. I had the privilege of flying down Sushmita to India after she had just won the Miss Universe title. All the other paxs on that flight wanted to meet her and take pictures with her. I went up to her and asked her if she would oblige some of them. Sushmita who was travelling in the first class, got up promptly and walked through the entire plane, meeting her fans, clicking pictures with them, signing autographs and sharing her pride and joy at being our country's winning ambassador at the pageant. She spent over an hour mingling with everyone on that plane and left them with such good memories. I never fail to appreciate this gentle, articulate, gutsy lady.
