Heart warming comfort food , also leeks are in season at the moment as are potatoes. This soup does not have a lot of ingredients it is very simple to make and yet it is full of flavour , great with a crusty roll . I went to Aldi to get the veg and got a very good deal on all the veg ,this soup also freezes well . It is a Delia Smith recipe from one of her first books about 30 years ago, my daughter grew up with this soup during Autumn and Winter , she also still loves it today .

It has always been a favourite, yet I have not made it for at least 5 years !! Think I have been to busy trying new recipes ! Nice to bring back some of the old ones 😂. I don’t do well in Winter months , I usually love Autumn but not when it is wet 😂😂 hope you are avoiding all the rain, stay safe xxx

Hi Susie, Would it be possible for you to pin the actual ingredients somewhere so that I don’t have to keep looking at the video as lovely and all as you are. 😊

@ellen7198 of course Ellen , we have had a couple of problems with my website which is where the ingredients should be listed . We found adverts are killing my site , I could hardly see anything on it because adds kept poping up !! So annoying so we have stopped the adds in the website . I will give you the ingredients now so you have them . 3 large leeks, 2oz of butter , 2 Medium potatoes or large , half a chopped onion . 1 pint of Chicken stock from a cube, half a pint of chicken stockpot from a knor stockpot and half a pint of milk . Season at end of cooking . Some people add a little grate cheddar when serving or a swirl of cream , I just like crusty bread . Xxxx

Hello Susie new subscriber here I discovered your delightful channel last week after buying the Ninja Max Dual Zone Smart Cook Air Fryer and wanted to find information and inspiration on KZfaq and found you 😋 Are you still making videos on your Dual Zone? I Love that Soup and for the coming months Pea and Han is my go to Soup 😋

Hello Andrew welcome to My channel , yes I am still doing all sorts of things in the duel zone I love it . I have another ninja now the 15 in 1 which is great but more complicated than the dual zone but very good . I am not a person that puts everything in the ninja for the sake of it 😂😂 I use it when I think it will do the job well , I don’t put eggs in the ninja but I know lots that do and love it . It excels at Chicken !! Also best roasties ever come out of the ninja . Oh I love pea and ham soup that’s one I have not had for years , I must make some . Hope you really enjoy your ninja and thanks for watching xxx

@@cookingwithsusie Susie I also have a 15-1 so I already know about cooking with a probe. I use my Themomix TM6 to do a lot of my food needs as IMO it’s the Only Kitchen. Gadget if you can even call it that that you can ever need TBH. I am really enjoying your videos as they are Clear and very helpful I think 😋

@@andrewthomas3270 oh lord I would love a thermomix you lucky person 😂😂 still the dual zone ninja is a very useful gadget , I have always used a thermometer as I have a Kamado Jo and I always feel safer using a probe , to make sure everything is cooked . I hope you keep enjoying my other videos and thanks for watching xxx

@@cookingwithsusie I just want to say Susie that I bought my TM6 about 3 years ago via monthly payments for 24 months and it’s the best investment I have ever made. Before I got my 15-1 I always used a Meater be don’t need to anymore 😋

Hi Susie. Soup sounds lovey and perfect for a cold rainy day. Please could you let me know if you cooked this for 20 mins with the lid on or off. Thank you. Xx💕

The lid was on most of the time but as it was really bubbling away I sort of had it a little open if that makes sense 😂😂 also I kept giving it the odd stir ! We finished it last night with crusty bread 😂😂 . Xxx
