Free press is a fine thing, but does it pay the bills? This is like those influencers who expect free product in exchange for a mention on their Instagram or other social media. Press and shout outs don't pay salaries, power, water, groceries, taxes etc. And the free press any company will get by giving that pair of grifters meaningless awards will do them more harm than good. I'll never watch ESPN again. Neither will my sons (so they say, I'm holding them to that).
