Here is my thirteen-year experience with my SUUNTO Core All Black.

I have the Core Brushed Steel since Dec 2021. I like the styling very much, and find it very comfortable. I have the display set to only show the hours and minutes, so the battery lasted 15 months before I had to change it. I use a copper washer from the hardware store to open the back, it's a perfect fit and a softer metal than the back, so it won't scratch the polished finish of the battery cover. The digits in the display reflect a coppery or silvery color, depending on the light source, and it has adequate contrast, but not as much as my Pulsars. The buttons are very easy to press, and I use the button-lock feature to keep from pressing them accidentally. The glass on mine is sapphire, and so far, I haven't scratched it. Mine has the entire case and bezel made of rigid stainless steel, so there isn't any cushioning if it is dropped. For that reason I don't think my Core would withstand as much abuse as a G-Shock or Pro-Trek, but otherwise it seems as sturdy as most other watches with steel cases. I enjoy wearing it, it's beautiful to look at and feels luxurious on my wrist. I hope that mine lasts as long as yours has.

Wow, had no idea about that Core with sapphire. Seems like a Core All-Black on steroids; looks awesome as well. Pretty sure yours will last longer than mine!

I do have the same yeah but it feels really heavy on my hand not gonna lie. Its probably happening because I'm not that much of a big guy but still don't know haha.

I bought one today (9-23-23) from REI for $199, minus 20% discount, $160 total. I hope mine last 13 years!!!

The only down side i found was the 1 year battery but a good watch i must said

Yep. When I use the light and other functions often, it lasts much less than a year for me. Fortunately, the batteries are cheap and easy to swap.

I wish mine had held up. I bought 2 cores and a vector years ago when I was in the army. They were all brand new stopped functioning, two fell off my wrist during training missions, one started ringing loudly in the field so I had to chuck it in the pond. I have never seen Suunto as any sort of reliable. That was years ago and recently I have been interested in the alpha stealth. Has anyone had issues with the core alpha stealth? Anyone know if they are good?

had mine for 13 years too, looks about as beat up as yours, which is the best look for this watch. gets about a month of batterytime these days, but still :)

Agree. Love the look of a well worn watch throughout the years.

great watch although I prefer citizen eco drive diving watch. I can find the north with the hands, 200m waterproof, stopwatch with the bezel and won t need to change the battery for 10 more years unlike this one that eats batteries. Thanks for sharing the story behind the watch

Eco-drive Diver's are very robust.

How long does battery last?
@HandleTimeChannel Жыл бұрын
Mine usually lasts about 2-3 months. But, I use the compass and backlight a lot.
