I love the platform that locks, for both reasons (theft prevention and safety in case of an accident). I also love the solar panel on the roof box. And Tristan just plain rocks! Thanks Brian, for having him on the channel.

I follow Tristan and turned my rav 4 into a camping vehicle in 2020 when my first grandson was born and I couldn’t fly from NY to CO to hold him! I continue to watch him for ideas even though I’m in my 50s and don’t plan on climbing any mountains but live vicariously through him and hope to visit some of the places he shares someday!

Brian couldn't distract Tristan, he stays on point really well (that's a joke, not a criticism). I'm one of Tristan's fans he has inspired many people to use whatever vehicle they have to go camping.

Jackpot! Two of my three favorites! Bob Wells, of course, being the third. It's like you guys are reading my mind and answering all my questions. I love the idea of a small and large solar generator for front and back, and I am absolutely getting a fridge. I also appreciate the attention to detail by measuring items to make an efficient fit. You two are my inspiration, thanks so much! (retiring teach going full time this summer)

Tristan always comes up with unique ways of camping. I really loved seeing the solar panel mounted on his rooftop storage. The box platform for storage & his sleeping arrangement allowing him to access that storage is awesome. However at my age, mid 70’s, I’m not a fan of scooting around & walking on my knees is painful. I’m going to try a minivan no build & also think about the solar panel on the sprooftop storage. Cheers, Mo in NJ

I like the build. It is not very complicated buy more complicated than what i did in my suv, but i also chose to tow a trailer to put most of my stuff, when i went on a 3-month trip. I just used a twin size spring mattress with a memory foam on top for a bed. I also used multiple battery/usb fans for cooling off. Had a blutetti eb150 for cpap machine and charging the fans. had about 1/3 empty space for storage in bins. I also put bug nets on my windows, I ended up going with duct tape instead of Velcro for the same reason as he stated. the glue melts from the heat and went with duct tape which has had no problems. i am planning to sleep in my trailer next time i go out now that it has ac so my suv will be mostly storage.

i bought this for bed frame from amazon for my apartment in 2018. the price has now probably tripled. but the queen size comes in two pieces and one piece would be a great frame for car dwelling. as it is, the frame where it meets in the middle is too hard just as a board seems way to hard for me. bob talks about camping cots which could be cheaper and more comfy. my mattress is also way too thin to be comfy. the single frame is now $120. i paid 64.20 for the queen five years ago.
