How to Knit - Steeks, Preparing and Cutting. A demonstration of the crochet method of reinforcing steeks prior to cutting along with cutting the steek. This is demonstrated using the Continental Knitting method.

Hi Suzanne, have you ever knitted 2 sleeves at a time, in the round,with steeks in the sleeve cap area? Another demonstration shows how to cut those steeks but would love to know how to properly construct the steek. It makes for 2 identical sleeves as it maintains gauge. Hope you can show us how.

I have knitted sleeve caps in stranded knitting. I usually do one sleeve at at time, just because that is how I do it. But it can certainly be done two at at time. I will add this topic to my video todo list. Thanks for the suggestion.

This was great! Do you cut through the reinforcement yarn at the top (where you made the U-turn) before you pick up the stitches around the armhole for the sleeve?
