I think this is a great series for those who want to keep their bike running and keep things simple and inexpensive. Good job!

To be honest this tutorial is better than the gs500f one.

Old multibrand mechanic here. You can use a broken piece of piston ring to clean ring grooves and the advantage of that is you KNOW they fit. You can use worm drive hose clamps as piston ring compressors and many mechanics do, but if you are careful about supporting your pistons it's not hard to just guide the rings using a small common screwdriver or similar.

replacing the spark plugs took five minutes in my GS500. In my current bike (a MT07) it takes an hour at best.
