Great video, about a very under rated car. There is a company in England who does tuning parts for your car. Might be worth a look ...
@Jazda5 ай бұрын
Yep, I'm aware of them. The previous owner of my car bought some bits from them which are still on the car - induction kit and a few other bits. Details in my previous video if you're interested!

Great videoography, must have taken an age for the timlapses

Wasn't too bad. First time doing it, so learned that I was moving too much and need more increments/photos to look smoother.

Thank you for the very interesting and well made video! I'm currently facing the same problem, but I'm a bit confused by the Suzuki parts catalogue, it states that sport and standard struts are different, including the bump stop and top mounts. However there is only one version of Bilstein shocks available, which is supposed to fit all Swifts, so I'm wondering what the difference might be? 🤔
@Jazda4 ай бұрын
Not sure about standard Swifts to be honest, but the B4 seems to match the OEM Sport's damping.

Lovely editing! How's the car been doing? Underside looks better than I expect (yes I'm thinking of getting one now)

Been loving it. It's a great all rounder and I'll be keeping it for another while for sure. It's averaging 49.2mpg which is mental 😳

Hi, Did the rear struts come with dust boot, bump stop and top mounts? Thanks
@JazdaАй бұрын
As far as I remember, no. Here's where I bought them: www.auto-doc.ie/bilstein/631774

@@Jazda ah ok thanks for clarifying. Just looked like during the video, as they were unboxed, it was all pre built with dust boots etc. I'll look at buying some separately in that case.

Bit of advice, you should always clean off the old parts you are refitting you may have shortened the life a little by allowing all the dirt/rust to get on the damper which will in turn damage the internal seals.

Good point. Thanks.

A proper upgrade for stock ride height would be b6 shocks, b4 as you correctly stated are oem spec replacements, tbf whatever you put on will be an improvement over worn original shocks👍
@Jazda5 ай бұрын
Yep. I was aware of that option but I didn't want a firmer ride and the B6 cost over double the price!
@federicoperra38634 ай бұрын
Hi guys! Just to clarify: B4 >oem substitution ( more quality component) B6 > no height modifications (for oem springs) but improved ride specs ( more sporty) B8 > for lowering springs, sporty ride specs I Just bought a B12 kit ( B8 + eibach springs), hope to have a big improvement and quality ride 🤞🤟

I changed my rear shocks and now theres a rattle at the back of the car over uneven surfaces….everything is done up tight so i have no idea where the rattle is from…but its only started since changing the shocks…..anyone have any idea what might be causing it?
@JazdaАй бұрын
Have you checked that all bolts/nuts are still tight? Might have loosened with the vibrations maybe?
@BarrygeeАй бұрын
@@Jazda all tight, i’m a bit heavy handed so i suspect they are actually a bit over tight…i can’t figure out what the issue is…i’ve had them off, put them back on, made sure everything is put on in the right order. I even bought a different set of shocks because i thought the originals might be faulty but the sound is still there no matter what i do
@JazdaАй бұрын
What shocks did you use?
@BarrygeeАй бұрын
@@Jazda just to add a bit more detail, i have also changed the whole rear beam axle…i did this after changing the shocks, they rattled with the old beam axle and they still rattle with the new one so its not related to the whole axle / hub assembly. Its definitely something else.
