Nice one. However, it’s brought back memories of when Suzuki first used this engine in the mid 90’s (from memory) in a bike that was incredible in a straight line. Corners? I don’t recall a bike that behaved so poorly, no matter what you did to the suspension settings. It didn’t have any confidence inspiration. I was lucky that when the fully faired bike was released that Suzuki Australia simply swapped them for free (I was racing for Suzuki Australia at the time) saying the newer bike had addressed these issues and whilst it was better, I just couldn’t live with it. The sound it produced was incredible, especially when fitted with aftermarket exhausts. A pity that it was simply a widow maker. Suzuki just couldn’t argue with my riding abilities even though they did disagree with my thoughts on both bikes.

The bike is too slow for a 1000cc plus engine. This motor can make 140hp at least. Anyway, that's my feelings about it. Hard to go from my zx 14 to a 100hp adv. It's just hard on the ego

Me too, but they’re about right bear in mind. It’s quite a heavy bike with only 110 hp and poor aerodynamics.-I owned one in the mid range and bottom end grunt. I think make them feel faster than they are. I had an SV thousand with 125 hp better aerodynamics and not as much bottom end as the v strom motor but much more top speed performance. Whereas the v Strom would pick up its wheel with it shorter gearing and more bottom in probably three or 4000 RPM. The SV did not do the same until about 6000 RPM

Got a tenere 700, but thinking about stepping up. Never ride ofroad and the suzuki 1050 looks like great fun. Anyone got some advice

das ding ist doch elektronisch in der höchstgeschwindigkeit gebremst, oder nicht? die leistung scheint schlagartig bei kurz vor 200 aufzuhören

Hab das 2021 er Modell als xt und die fährt 225km/h keine Ahnung warum die neuen alle elektronisch abgeriegelt sind 🤔

@@xraifreak liegt oft an Stabilitätsproblemen (Pendeln etc.) bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten. Die Rahmen werden ja immer Steifer.

​​@@xraifreak My bike 1050 XT, 2022, maximum on the bike Taho 207km/h. Yes, they all are blocked for the environment🤔 but only in Europe(not good for Europeans because, the rest of the world is free and when live in a...). I think this bike runs at a maximum of 250km/h in another countries.

Very short gearing for such a low top speed.... All modern bikes are really slow compared with their ancestors. The only progress is the short gearing.
