Zak takes out two 66 plate SUVs, the Suzuki Vitara vs the Dacia Duster.
The SUV market is getting crowded and full of Fords, Renaults and Peugeots, but Dacia and Suzuki have two cars here that rival those marques.
The Dacia Duster is available at Trade Price Cars for little under £10,000 and the Suzuki Vitara just under £12,000.
Which one is better for boot space, comfort and the drive. The Suzuki vs The Dacia, the Vitara vs the Duster.

Might be better without the hand mic and with a wind shield, the wind noise is horrible and having hands full makes demonstrating things difficult. A decent headset mic would really help raise production values.

Oct 2018 and u compare old Vitara version with old Duster version? Useless!

Thanks for the view! The used car market is huge! We get views/comments from people of social media and KZfaq from people looking for videos on comparable cars, not just new. If it is a fair comparison and the cars are similar then the fact that they are used is not really an issue in many people's eyes, but understand that some are only looking for new car videos. We will get new bits on the channel from time to time too!

The quastion of value must be seen in the long run. The Duster sports a 3-cylender turbo engine as apposed to the straight 4 in the Vitara. Small dimension turbo engines don´t last very long. The other aspect is the regular service, the Vitara is much easier to serve, the Duster is not a Do It Youself Friendly car too work on.

The off-road ability in both is questionable and limited, but would have to side with the Suzuki for off roading. Practicality on the inside for space etc the Suzuki is the bigger car, but Dacia doesn't do a bad job for the money. Both are pretty economical. I would side with Suzuki as it is a better car all round, but the Dacia is great value.

@@tradepricecars9960 You have no Idea what you're talking about... new Vitara Cant even compare with duster for Off roading... Vitara is good for only snowy tourmac and light off road, while Duster wrestles with Subarus and Renegade

The duster is the best off-roader car ... Notwithstanding vitara is the best car in general ...

@@GiorgiGachechiladze02 I would say it depends on the terrain. Duster has a better ground clearance, which can easily be the biggest advantage on more difficult terrain. It might have better protection or more rugged construction, I don't know anything about it though. Bit Vitara is a bit smaller, which is better for narrow forested paths and crucially has a better 4x4 system (at least on tests). I would assume that makes Vitara better for mud, snow, gravel, grass etc, but Duster better for more rugged and uneven terrain. However neither is rugged enough and does not have a ladder frame, real differentials, reductors, wheel articulation etc, so not realy meant for very difficult terrains anyway. Consequently I'm not so sure we can dismiss Vitara that easy. After all clearance and protection can be adjusted after market, so I would probably go for the better awd system with (selectable) more aggressive grip when needed.

@@goranmekota7540 new duster also has very good 4wd system, lock with esp off, it does everything while it is more rugged too. Size is the same atleast in depth, so for off-road it's duster, for tourmac maybe vitara

Seats not folding flat would be a write off if it was a cheaper car. Hard plastic is great for cleaning. Your review is crap. Pinching money job for you lol
