I get the weight loss struggle that Suzy went through. Especially as a woman, diet is so important. I have always been athletic and working out does nothing. Growing up Italian, pasta and bread and lots of food are such a part of my life and having to learn to not give anything up, but just watch portion sizes has been hard. Great job being healthy!

Its pretty normal to unfollow people you grow apart from. Some people also are way too needy and attention seeking on social media, most of us cant stand fake people.

Love this ep of the podcast! I actually did a transformation myself last year, went from 150kg down to 95kg. I really felt it when you guys said if you feel hungry, it's working. That was the biggest learning curve for me tbh

One meal will not fuck you. One day of binging will. I’ve lost 20 lbs in 2 months eating whatever I want in moderation. Just add more vegetables and weight lift. You don’t have to drink shakes for your meals and restrict yourself so hard to see results when you’re super overweight to begin with.

It depends what the root cause of your problem is, and what you want as your final outcome. People take suppliments to amplify results or get them quicker usually (because people are impatient). I personally would not be able to eat 3 chicken breast a day to get the protein I need for my routine. So, I don't have a choice, but yes the average person just trying to get into a little better shape doesn't have to do anything too crazy to see a difference. One bad meal a week wont mess you up overall, but you would be surprised how bloated you get off of one nasty meal. It just depends on how quickly you want to see results. You got to want the change.

@@Drewzdevthere's no world where you have to eat only chicken to be healthy. That's a super outdated way to think

the football field (120 yards, including end zones, per the stupid conversion chart at UNMC) thing is off. 1 plain M&M is 3.4 calories. Per the Mayo Clinic, for a person weighing 160 lbs, walking @ 3.5mph burns 314 calories. To burn off that one calorie you'd have to walk 38.9 seconds, or 66.7 yards.

14:00 I hate when people say stuff like this. Sure two bananas may equate to that, but EATING the bananas burns calories. EXISTING burns calories. So, it wouldn’t actually be like that. People say stuff like this, which is not technically wrong, for more of a shock effect than anything.

I wish they added a disclaimer in this episode for all the people out there who struggle with EDs. Even though they said it was a nutritionist who told them 1100kcal a day is fine and healthy - it isn't for everyone (frankly, a majority of people) and please don't do this to yourself. Go and see a professional if you want to lead a healthy lifestyle.

1200 is the recommended intake per day on average. If you eat more than that amount you are eating more than the average human and if you are eating more than an average human then you need a psychiatrist not a nutritionist.
@beyondallcontrol
@beyondallcontrol 10 ай бұрын
@@RC-rg3vz You are part of the problem. I doubt you have a medical degree or a registered dietitian and yet here you are saying 1,200 calories is what you should be eating without even specifying gender, height, weight, age or activity level. All of those variables and more determine your recommended calories intake. Harvard Health says, "Most women need 1,600 to 2,000 calories per day to maintain their weight, while most men require 2,000 to 2,400 calories per day. Your number may be more or less." (see below attached link to read more). The CDC and American Dietetics Association recommends around 1,800 for women and more for men. Lower numbers are given to people initially to help go in a calorie deficit so you can lose weight and some "nutritionists" recommended going lower than 1,200 to show extreme results quick. doctors and registered dietitians warn against doing this lightly as it is too low and should only be done under close supervision. Also, a nutritionist and dietitian aren't even the same thing. A nutritionist can People watch random KZfaqrs and fitness enthusiasts on the Internet and gain their facts from that. Trust only accredited sources: www.health.harvard.edu/healthbeat/dont-count-calories-but-be-aware-of-them#:~:text=Most%20women%20need%201%2C600%20to,may%20be%20more%20or%20less.
