The aim of this song and lyrics are basically Suzy pretending that there is another love in her life so that her partner takes the break up as a fact instead of her coming back.She wanted a reason to split as his love was too much, he is a great person to her but she felt suffocated. So she lied, broke his heart, so she could see him love someone who deserves or wants that amount of love.Hope this makes sense. I went through the exact experience with my boyfriend of three years, my first true love and soul mate in high school. We split up because I couldn't handle our relationship whilst stressing with college and a full time job, I didn't have enough time in a day to love him the way I wanted to.I told him there was another guy, when there wasn't. But now I know, three years later from our breakup (that left me an emotional wreck) that he is with the most beautiful girl I've ever seen who loves him better than I ever did and that makes me so happy knowing he's being cared for properly. Coming back here after I remembered this song is definitely telling what I'm going through right now. When I first heard the song, I just can't understand why would u break up with someone who loves and nice to u. Damn, it's hurt so much the more I think about it. He loves me, I definitely love him and want nothing but the best for him. Yet, we've grown out of each other. We no longer have the same idea of life and future. Whatever he speaks of didn't resonance with me and vice versa. And that's not his fault at all. That's just how life has gone. I felt suffocated. But trying to explain this to him is harder for him to understand. I really want to end this well, yet that just didn't happen.

THAT was really beautiful. I must admit I always used to think that Suzy is overrated but after her debut as a solo artist last year to her acting with LJS, I am SO impressed by everything she has put up so far. This mv was wonderfully shot, wonderfully acted. The song stays with you as well as the lyrics. Suzy deserves her all-kills and PAKs. She has truly developed as an artist and I admire that.

When she said "I'm in love with someone else" I literally started to tear up. I know it's just a song, but damn I shed a few tears listening to this.

I think anyone:-) can interpret the song anyway they like, for me its a beautiful love story that has comes to an end. 'Someone else' I see here is herself. The feeling she has for him is not aligned with what he feels for her which made it tiring for her to stay with him. She wants to move on, giving herself a chance to experience other things in life. It is better be honest & break his heart than betrayed both their hearts, so she made the move to break up with him. What ironic abt the song is it somehow similar with her real life relationship which was why many assumed it was based on her own experience.... well we'll never know, right, but overall its a beautiful song, very much suited her vocal range & wish her the best in her career & her love life
