SVT 40 reproduction magazines rarely fit well. Here is how I fitted mine.

I have one reproduction mag and I had to file down the lugs A LOT since they were so much higher than the originals. They would lock in fine but sat too low to be able to feed any rounds.

Nils Swinamer Sorry to see your mags don't fit in right. I noticed on mine too that the tangs were a little higher, which places the magazine a little lower, but it worked out.

They are a lot of fun to shoot. You would not regret getting one if you are into these older designs.

I have lost my original magazine for the SVT. I'll keep looking for it. It's got to be somewhere in the house. If I lost it permanently, I'll have to buy a reproduction, I guess.

That happens. It may turn up. Maybe in an ammo can, maybe in the bag. Had the same thing happen to me with one of mine.

By any chance, I wonder if they can fit into SVD ammunition pouch/chest rig since SVT-40 magazine look similar even though it different?

I live in Canada and have a SVT 40 sadly we don't get imports of reproduction magazines I wish that we did though

David O'Neil I completely understand the frustration, but at least you can get SVTs very cheap.

That's true though we can by surplus also of you ca find them as well but there like $100.00 or so if you can find them

Wanstalls, Wolverine, SFRC - Lots of Canadian vendors had them. Best bet now is the WTS/WTB on sites like Gunnutz. They come up regularly for $80ish.

Доброго времени суток. Я думаю, обычной посылкой должно дойти. Или у Вас в Россию не отправляют посылки, санкции, ))).

Если честно я никогда не пересылал оружейные части в вашу сторону. Не знаю если есть какие-то правила или еще что-то того рода прерятствующие пересылке. Плюс оригиналы дорогущие. А новое производство (если его можно так назвать) из Китая просто гомно и все равно дороговато.
