Thanks. Not sure why anyone needs to claim that any religion is “the greatest in the world.” It seems contrary to the message of Sri Ramakrishna himself.

Because context. Without going through all or majority of work of any person you'll only get to flawed judgemental conclusions. He's all accepting and all loving from a few hundred pages that I have read. Secondly, as a motherly/fatherly figure it's necessary to still speak the truth. Hinduism or vedanta and it's 4 marg/path to liberation is all the a human can learn and achieve. All other religions take just a small part of it. Which isn't good or bad but incomplete. And some religions which preach "My god is the only true God and I'll convert all else to my religion" are really not a religion but disease, leading to wars and deaths. - My personal opinion. As far as swamiji goes, at countless places he has stated that all religions, faiths and forms of worships are just one step after another. Don't judge him by a few lines I'd suggest brother, rest is absolutely upto you 😊🙏🏻

Swami Vivekananda ji, the foremost disciple of Swami Ramakrishna ji spoke clearly about the tolerance and acceptance of all religions of the world in his speech in Chicago on 11th September 1893. He clearly stated "If the Parliament of religions has shown anything to the world, it is this: it has proved to the world that holiness, purity and charity are not the exclusive possessions of any church of the world, and that every system has produced men and women of the most exalted character . He meant clearly that no religion can claim to be the greatest.
