I can see how Alan Moore mingle throughout the DC libraries of lore. He was really good in doing that. (I.E The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) When you have pre-exist universe, you basically have a whole swamp(pun intended) to venture. but amazing how he alone brought up all these cool characters to light. I would'nt be surprise if your next entry is hellblazer~

I think 'Loving The Alien' was a Giger tribute. A lot of Giger's stuff is just like this. In fact, his sketch, 'Loving The Alien' was a direct inspiration for the Xenomorph in 'Alien' - although, like many an originator, Giger has distanced himself from the adaptation. Still, when you consider that a one-off sketch helped create an enduring if badly uneven franchise, that's saying something. Two brief asides: As I think I mentioned in a prior review, Swamp Thing does indeed also seek vengeance on Lex Luthor, but taking out a primal A-Tier supervillain is different than taking out some supporting character rogue intel operatives. Plus, you-know-who is there to stop him, although he was more looking to avoid a repeat of Gotham. They made peace and moved on. Plus, again, the Luthor he sought vengeance on was now a different version after the Crisis. One final note: Forget Arcane. What sort of monster must the whistle-head the demon coach bit down on have been to earn that fate? I think either a really bad coach himself or a sweathouse efficiency overseer fond of blowing their whistles right in people's ears.

Interestingly the last Image of Swamp Thing and Abby was used in the cheesy 80's movie "Return of Swamp Thing" which appropriately works as a "happy ending" shot. As for later Swamp Thing Storylines, I can't wait to see you check out the "Blackest Night" storyline as it changes the status quo of Swamp Thing in a different and unexpected way...

Yes, I have a few in mind. I like the original Thrawn Trilogy (at least in book form). I also liked this series called Star Wars Legacy set 130 years after the original movies starring Luke's descendant called Cade Skywalker. There is some good newer stuff too.

Wow. When I think of Alan Moore, I usually think of excellence. I actually met Mark total been at a convention in the 1990s. He was at the peak of his career and a very nice guy. This is back before image comics had really taken off. You could walk up to some of these people and actually have conversations with them. Anyway, I was really disappointed with this whole series. The artwork was sketchy and unfinished. Some of the motivations and situation where absolutely ridiculous. But the whole swamp thing in Gotham city was terrible. It’s hard to believe that this guy went on to write some of the best comic books of all time.

It's crazy that mainstream comics are garbage now, that you have to go back in time and get the classics, that show you how story plot and character was more important than sexual identity politics or race swapping as they doing right now.
