There's a bunch of happy customers on here who I claim are sponsored by Swann PR. It's easier for Swann to post false reports than supply better products. These cameras are about 900x500 true resolution, up-sampled to 4k, using a long exposure so they see better than you in the dark. They look great if you want to see your yard at night but the 12 fps means no identification or of evidential value is recorded. You can't zoom in to see faces or number plates: just bigger blurred images. Even a pedestrian walking past is blurred. The smart detection only applies to a single camera, so can you predict where the burglary attempt will occur? You can't separate the broad-brush 360-degree PIR from the smart visible detection, so your choice is turn all alarms off or have your neighbour beat on your door at 3am. I have two Electronics degrees and did a thorough analysis of their true, lousy performance, which I supplied to Costco EU, after which they withdrew Swann systems. I've had one car vandal attack, a shed break-in and two accidents filmed on the main road in which I live: four events involving the Police and in all four no acceptable evidence was captured. Swann used to be a trusted Australian Security System provider. Now it's a Chinese owned company that spends more effort on PR against posts such as this rather than providing a good product. These cameras sound fantastic on paper and in the videos; you will spend days running cables. Raise a complaint with them, or on their forum, and they will block your email. 4x for me, good luck to you. They *could* deliver what they claim but it's more profitable to rip you off.

Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even kzfaq.infoUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

I have them, 6 4k cam setup in Toledo Ohio in a bad area, so its a must have, I just used the same old wiring from my old outdated setup. That is already strung around house and through walls. The wires are the same. As well as adapters, (power supplies) i changed those anyway just for good measure, simple enough but they are all typically the same.. So its simple as plug and play. For those who may wonder. Hopefully it helps.

Every bush, tree, shrub moving object sets the motion cameras off no matter how low the sensitivity or how high you have it, the best place for any motion system camera is where you have no movement, then the camera will only find what really counts otherwise they record everything especially plant life!

Love the video. Love the picture quality but when there’s something moving the object I think is of poor quality while everything else of that video is amazing quality.

Hello, I recently bought the Swann Pro Enforcer similar to the one you have but comes with 5 bullet camera and a PT camera. They are all connected to the ethernet wires which were pre-wired around the outside perimeter of my house when it was built which then linked up to the DVR, also accessible on my phone app. The problem I am having is that I cannot (or perhaps do not?) know how to set the light to turn on when the motion is detected. I went to the setting on each camera and enable the light switch and saved the configuration. But then after about a minute, it automatically disabled again. I am not sure if these cameras are suppose to be this way. The light does turn on when we manually hit the light bulb icon but what is the point of having it when it doesn't turn itself on automatically when the motion is detected? I am not sure if each camera is wifi enable (like the Arlo cameras I used to have) since they are just wired directly to the DVR. Can we turn on the light when motion is detected without having the siren also on? Or do the siren and light both have to be on for the light to work? Also, does the siren/light coming on with motion detection will only work if we create our schedule? (I did not create any schedule). Lastly, Because all the pre-wirings ended up in my basement, my DVR is in the basement NOT connected to a monitor. I access my cameras via the app on my phone and also on my laptop. Does this affect the ability to control the setting as well? Can you please help provide some insight into this? My apology for asking so many questions as the Swann instruction manual is pretty complicated to try to understand. Thank you again.

I heard a lot of things about cameras over the years and the most I heard were about IP cameras and how there easy for others to view. So if you were attempting to do anything the cameras would work as there eyes as well. So my question is how secure is it ? I have a 1080P Enforcer system very easy to install except for cables. 12 months ago I replaced 5 cameras as the LED lights for night vision failed & have just replaced all 8 due to the same fault. Seems to be a systemic issue, Swann refuse to reply to my contact!

It was not lag free lady if you notice at the end when the kids were walking you had latency problems and a slow frame rate . That system is horrible. You need something with a smooth and fast frame rate and super low latency

Appreciate the video. I have 4 wired cameras and great system at first. I don't recommend Swann anymore to anyone as there is no ongoing support for you. If there's a fault for eg an outdated app or whatever, there is no technical support, there is if you wanna pay for it. I WOULD RECOMMEND STATING AWAY FROM THIS BRAND PERIOD, THERE IS NO SUPPORT

The consumer support is almost nonexistent for even the most basic questions. The so-called tech support reps are just useless call-takers. The spotlights stopped working and the PID detects absolutely everything...ON ONE CAMERA ONLY! So, I turned on do not disturb because I could not get any sleep, even after wasting hours tweaking the sensitivity settings. So what happens next? Oh, some bastard breaks into both of my cars!

This system does not come with tutorial information to learn how to operate the system and rewind, search for previous recordings. I never could create a user account from my smart phone after downloading SWANN apt. User account does not exist repeatedly came across the screen after countless attempts to create a user account. FRUSTERATION TO THE MAXIMUM!!!

You may be interested to know that there is a Facebook groups that sheds pretty bad light on this product. Personally, my own experience of the company is nothing to write home about either. If you want a company that cares about you, I would suggest you try ABUS.

Terrible quality, had mine for 3 years installed under the eaves protected from direct rain and midday sunlight, plastic housing is crumbling. I've found plastic water bottles on the beach which are still structurally sound, compared to these Swann cameras.

Just buy a Blink setup. No wires.

I don't know whether this will work, but here's my investigation into the false claims of what these cameras can, or mostly cannot, do. Please copy this report to your vendor. Costco UK stopped selling Swann after I sent it to them. I put it on the Swann forum but they kept deleting my logon. They dont' seem to have that ability on youtube.
