Personally the most underrated Grand Final ever. Neither team backed down and every quarter, momentum switched. Both teams really wanted it and you couldn’t tell who was going to come out on top.

Also the fact that this game was absolutely loaded with all sorts of special grand finals moments and subplots. Malceski's 2 left foot snaps to start and end the goal-scoring for Sydney. All the anticipation for Rioli and Jetta to have a sprint, and it happened. Mitch Morton with his 2 great goals. Buddy Franklin's 3rd quarter. Adam Goodes on 1 leg tearing up the final quarter. Just so many special highlights and stories. Personally my favourite Grand Final in my lifetime

I love Goodes the footballer. Wish he had of stuck to the game. His legacy got tarnished going after social engineering goals with disdain for his fellow aussies. He didn't help his causes with his controversial tactics. Eddie Betts? How he goes about it with emotion and wearing his heart on his sleeve does SO much more for indigenous society being respected than Goodes the preachy whining strategy.

Dennis Cometti's on fire today, when he calls the foot race between Jetta and Rioli..His voice starts to break, only during the the Olympic swimming have we witnessed Dennis this wound up, wonderful..I doubt that this Grand final is underrated.. I believe it's one of the greatest games of football ever played..

The quality of the play in this game was exceptional from both teams, probably the best grand final ever for absolute skill, daring and gut running. Every one of these highlights showed how and why this game draws huge crowds all year, every year.

How good that would be. Of all the Grand Finals that I've watched (started watching in 2008, and I was probably too young to remember the 2007 Grand Final), this is the one that stands out the most to me (besides 2017 and 2019). 2009, 2010 draw, 2016 and 2018 were all good (2018 was amazing seeing Collingwood lose by 5 points), but 2012 stands out as the best Grand Final I have ever watched as a neutral

Two Grant Final losses since this one....Such a shame that many of these players weren't able to win another one before they retired.....
@peterkehoe19842 жыл бұрын
I've always thought 2016 was fixed before the game. The AFL wanted the Bulldogs fairytale. The umpires whistled the Swannies out of the game.
