Hey Everyone,
Today we are working on the E30! I've been collecting parts to fix the slow steering and the day is finally here. It’s a daunting job, but I think we should have all we need to get started. Too bad it also coincides with the biggest snow storm of the year! Hopefully it doesn’t cause us any trouble and we can get it done before the weather gets too bad.

As an iX owner, a faster rack is something I wish I could experience. Funny enough, I didn't think it was an issue, but maybe once the car is up and running again I'll see what you mean. I might have to change plans and find a RWD E30 one day.

Dude how is this channel only at 9.2k? Do you have a Instagram you post on? If so you need to use that to boost your views. Your content is amazing and just like everyone that clicks on your videos we can't get enough of your content!!! Did you have to adjust the steering linkage at all or was the stock 30 steering linkage able to fit with the z3 rack?

@@dakmontana8031 as someone who's done this swap recently, the stock e30 inner/outer toe arms are compatable. You technically don't even need to do an alignment afterwards assuming you put on toe arms that were previously on the original e30 rack. In this video, his rack has new e36 toe arms which is why he has to get it realigned

I swapped in a regular E36 rack (3,4 turns) in my previous E30 and it was a night and day difference! I would assume the Z3 feels insane.

@@HunterDirection Have you driven the car hard yet? I’ve done the swap and in a roundabout it feels like a go kart sort of fighting back. Had the tracking adjusted etc. How does it feel to you?

Awesome work. Like the way the car is coming along. Do you have an LSD? If not might want to consider one. 3.73 is good. I did a e46 zhp rack in one car and e36 rack in another. You can actually do a pretty darn good alignment using a string method. E30 stock has only toe adjustment. I think FCP euro has a video how to do it.

They are a period correct marketplace find. I think they are inspired by the hartge tuning wheels, but I don't they are legit. I dig them though!

There are a couple places you can get them but I got mine from redline auto. They are priced on a case by case basis so each one will be differed based on condition.

It always does that until you press the check button on the roof haha. In my case I think it was low on washer fluid.
