Maybe it's just me and what I get from the song, but I feel like this is about someone who feels alienated and unable to relate to the world, almost unhuman, coming close to feeling like they are human and beginning to relate due to a love connection before residing back to their normal feeling of alienation? The music behind the lyrics is also strong and what is "battle music" like, so if not for just sounding cool, this could be because the artist's alienation comes from a feeling of power? Like I said, could just be me. I know that feeling as I never feel like I belong anywhere because people strike me as petty. But at times when I get close enough to someone I'm reminded that I'm one of them, and my reaction is usually to push away again. Or I am overthinking it. Either way, I like the song
