Plot:
Chandra(Venkatesh) an artist meets Meena (BhanuPriya), who is his neighbour. As her father is a dance master Chandra urges Meena to learn dance, but Meena is not interested. He even arranges a dance programme for Meena who behaves mischeviously on the stage. Rest of the story how Meena learnt dance and chandra, meena starts friendship.

The pooja scenes are hilarious. Bhanupriya is a boon to Indian cinema, right after Vijayanthimala. Perfect expressions and dance. Had she gone to Hindi cinema, she would have outclassed Sridevi and Madhuri in a blink. Luckily she stayed true to her art and refused poor glamour roles. Great artist!

illanti cinemalu eppatiki jeevithamlo malli raavu, enni sarlu chusina thanivithiradu, aathmalo migilipoothundi. Hats off to Vishwanath, Ilayaraja, Spb, Janaki, Susheela, Vani jayaram, Sirivennela. Natural acting from Venkatesh and Bhanu priya & her dance is amazing & her expressions with eyes is soo beautiful, Inka prathi paataku ardham untundi, ilayaraja's BGM is marvelous. And i love climax scene from the airport till the beautiful song ends with the great music. Totally okka manchi classical cinema.

Excellent movie. hats off the entire team. in my opinion, this movie should be released in every languages all over india again for new generation. if agree with, it will be a great hit comparing to now-a-days releasing movies. I am a malayali, i dont" know even one word of telugu. but because of bhanuji i watched this movie lots of time and never felt any boring till the date in internet and eagerly waiting to watch the same in big screen . marvellous and evergreen multi talented actress bhanuji. we love u mam with full of respect.

One of my top ten favorites in any language. Every time I watch it manages to bring tears to my eyes. Love where I come from - sad the culture is not getting it's due respect from today's generation. Viswanath garu maha purushulu! Don't think there is any other director, writer, screen play writer with more awards than Viswanath garu.

It's really a great feeling when someone likes a movie as much as likes me. I like viswanath sir direction most. Esp this swarnakamalam is most liking one to me. U said u watched 40 times in ur 28 years of life. I didn't count but definitely present my count can't yours. But i think about the movie, thinking more about the characters like chandrasekhar(venkatesh), meenakshi(bhanu priya), her father thousand times in my 29 years of life. Really great characterization by viswanatha garu. And yes fantastic music by Ilayaraja garu. Here you said u tried to learn classical dance. Did u learn..?

I know kashtalo undadam ela untundho Though u r poor in movie but we never felt sorrow for that as it was picturized that way. Superb! mam. I see everyone just talking about the film and the actors. No doubt the whole team is awesome. But look at the wealth of the songs.
