Iv decided to do a long over dew overnight trip but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to come off the water early morning so couldn't finish the video. so this will be more about the adventure than catching lots/big fish.

Great videos man, have serious nostalgia. My deceased father used to have a house there at 73 Amsterdamhoek rd so as laaities my brother and I fished that river up and down. Estuary fishing is still my favourite thing to do by far!! Planning to spend a week there on the hoek in Dec or so.

How's going. Glad you enjoyed it there are a few swartkops videos on my channel. I do alot more deep sea fishing the last Fer years. Back in the day when I fished E.P light tackle I spent alot of time on swartkops and it's still my favorite river to fish. I often grab a rod and go fish along Amsterdam road .

@@fishingPLZ Yeah having moved to the Cape I've done mostly deep-sea as well out of Struisbaai mostly with charters. Have quite a few 10+kg tails, tuna and 30+kg Red Steenbras on my caught list.

I hear Swartkops is dying. To many rods from the side, boaters taking out more than the quota and the sewage from there locations.

@@fishingPLZ I did catch carp,and baber and bass over December. But its not the same . Went camping for 2 weeks but the fight isn't comparable lol

@@fishingPLZ That sounds lekker. Carp fishing is fun if you have the option to choose. But sitting next to the dam gets boring. If all goes well I want to go to Mozambique this coming Dec for a proper fishing trip
