Schmincke Hordam is one of my favourite brands. Their Scarlet Red is spectacular. You have swatched out some gorgeous colours. Thinking you may want to play with those super granulating colours in a wet on wet environment and splash some clear water into the paint to see their real beauty pop. Cheers!

From my experience, super granulating colors work best wet on wet with lots of water 🎉

Sorry I was out for the live video today. I love to be there in real time. Oh well. For paltettes that don't have mixing areas...use...Yupo cut to size. The stuff is fantastic--nice puddles and wipes clean. I've used the same Yupo for years in some of my wooden palettes and odd tin boxes. It comes in regular and heavy-duty. Both work well. I am glad to see you starting to collect Schminckes. They are by far my favorite brand. They rewet beautifully and never disappoint. I have an embarrassingly large collection of them...

Very nice. It looks like your mixing area is underneath the half pan insert? Of course, that is a wooden box … and one usually doesn’t wet those up. Nice find, I believe that was a special anniversary sale.

I love palettes in wood boxes. I took the bottom row out to be able to add two more rows instead of one. I filled it with full and half pans.

Transparent Siena is a must have in all of my my palettes.

Mostly because I never use full strength, and it's hard to clear your brush of that strong paint. 😂 Phthalos are, however, excellent mixing pigments. Another wonderful video. I do enjoy seeing all the colours 😀 I have used Schminke Horadam paints for years and love their vibrant colours. The colours in your set look beautiful. I'm also using daVinci Casaneo brushes at the moment. They are really nice to work with.
