Meryl probably felt a little uncomfortable being that they had a lot of chemistry and won the mirrorball together. Maks also said that he would marry her. Notice that she was hidden when he was talking to Peta anyway i am happy for them and i think that they that are a great couple

I am just watching this 4 years later but must make a comment. Maks and Meryl??? I wonder how much attention many of the people commenting here really paid much attention to the shows that year. You sure were not very analytical when it comes to the observance of the interactions between the two of them. Maks was the only one in love. Meryl already had a lover and had no intention of changing that. While she was single (boyfriend or not) she was always one of the biggest flirts out there. She was having a lot of fun flirting with Maks and watching what it was doing to him. That was the extent of their relationship.

AAD ..you cant doll..this was a live concert i attendef in florida and they did not permit cameras or videotaping but i was able to take out my cell phone at very end of show snd record his proposal and thank goodness i did...it was a great show though.

Andrew Sinclair Marriage is a life altering event and I think a proposal should have its own space and not just be a bit tacked on at the end.

They should definitely have their own personal space for this; however, they are in the public eye. They will be scrutinised by conventional and alternative media, whether they consent to this or not. Being in command of your own moment, around your best audience, just makes sense. I would be more concerned about couples who have unplanned children, no idea of what they are in for whatsoever, than Macks being poorly experienced in relationships. I am the product of just such a couple. The breakdown was scary, to say the least.

This was a special place for both of them, and she seems like the type of person who would love the public declaration. Maks probably didn't rehearse this which is why it ended up turning out like this. It was special for them and their family that's all that matters.

He and Meryl should have gotten married, and the reason why he's marrying this stupid bitch fake bitch, is becuase Meryl, for some unknown strange reason, did not want to date him in public, while Maks was waiting on her, for her, but she told him no and wanted to stay just friends in public, but they DID like crush each other, A LOT, and he Did meet his match on the show- Meryl!! When he and & stupid Peta were broken up, and she knew all this going on during that season, saw this, and was sooo pissed the entire time! LOL Macks even mentioned Both their names "Maks & Meryl" not to long ago on Season 22, when he was guest judging! Everyone got quiet! So, he is doing all this to get over Meryl, and to "prove to us" he is Not hung up on Meryl and can easily move on when she turned him down, but LOL he is NOT lying to some of us thoe, I KNOW he wanted and wants Meryl, and if she would have accepted him then, he would be with her RIGHT NOW, and be marrying her, and not this stupid fake bitch of Peta! This stupid, fakem engagment would NOT be happening, it would be, but with Meryl! :)))
