Actually, I'm a new light (Jan. 2021), and I wasn't blind to how powerful it was in D1, and am SUPER hyped to have in D2. It's not just a neat gun. It's incredibly epic and I absolutely love it, feeling like it was taken straight from the first game.

If anyone doesn’t know yet, to get 2 rockets in the mag you have to get the catalyst, super easy to do! There are guides out for it now

Don't you love giving returning Destiny 1 bosses PTSD. Gjallarhorn being brought back was probably the most craziest thing to happen in Destiny 2 in a while. 100% knew Sweatcicle was gonna do this as soon as he got his hands on this.

The best part about The New GHorn is that it give wolfpack rounds to all legendary roclets in the fireteam. So people can happily run a witherhord or something with an auto loading rocket, doing infinity DPS.

I said this about Vex and I'll say it about Gally, too. The way they reinvented the weapon without actually murdering what made it so unique and powerful in the first place is phenomenal. Bungie is iffy with these things, but holy shit when they do it right, amazing things happen.

I don’t know if this is just my opinion but it’s my opinions so I feel one of reasons it took weapons like d1 ghorn to get better was because no actually really made testing videos like d2 today and that’s why some things get nerfed quickly because content creators (usually not always) bring to light how powerful something is and then everyone talks about and uses it

Gjally is so good in DPS that it is very competitive with linears / FR who have their Particle to clutch on. Without particle? Well in terms of burst, it will be among the highest, only let down by rockets lower ammo reserves (lower total damage).
