it hurts to see the speed of this thing, one of the reasons why i love fast mobile tanks. it feels like you can influence the game a lot more when you can go from A to B quickly

When you shot the boxes those particles went flying. Arta saw the direction of the particles. The mistake were that you went toward the rubbish. Kind of like when you ram a tree and the tree shows your direction of movement.

I think the play would probably have been to go where he actually shot. In this situation as the arty, you want to pummel the entire cap to maximize your chance of hitting, thus not shooting twice at the same spot. But this is pure spectator hindsight, in game I would have probably made the same plays. This was one good game regardless, in one way or the other.

Given the reload of the arty, you fired way too soon to bait, if he's watching then he gambled where you moved from that point. If you'd allowed some more time to take shot maybe they'd have thought you'd stumbled over the centre

My go to move in this ending scenario is wait for the enemy arty to blind fire. If they miss I will literally drive to that zone. They are less likely to shoot at the same place or area twice in a row if their first one doesn't hit or splash to disrupt the cap. But this doesn't really work against high splash arties. I tend to also avoid bushes, rocks, buildings inside the cap. Some arties can easily loop a shot over them or splash near them.

QB forgot that tank tracers can be seen as well with the big caliber guns, by doing what he did he gave away the area of the circle he was in. LOL

In a case like this, my tactic is to wait, a little way from a heart attack, for the artillery to fire and then I sit down at the exact spot where the grenade landed. It's not the best tactic, that's true, but it's working for me so far.

Doesn't matter how you play that tank...it's still a big square flat box. Hardly any angles so it's easy to pen. So ppl either pen you with ease or load the gold...or because you're so big...just snipe the commanders hatch that is hard to hide/protect because your so slow.

When I got the type 4 and I got the 150 mm gun, it was when it had old HE and before massive changes you could melt players with its cannon which was more comfortable to use with flatter balistics on the 15cm gun and comes with HE shells. Unlike tier 8 and bellow japanese, 150 mm guns with only AP and gold AP and high arc angles.

I read a very similar statement of the meaning ‘to be sweating like a pig’. It would be nice if they sourced their research. From casting glass and bronze, metal is cast into sand which has some water content, to the point that water vaporised and steams off. Especially as you break open the mold, the mold will steam. That feels more like sweating than waiting until a bit of water condenses on the metal itself. Specifically you have to quench the metal to get it cool enough for water to remain on the surface. Maybe it’s a test to see how long the water can remain on the now cool casting. But that water didn’t condensed on the surface (unless you leave it overnight and the casting can meet ambient).

Armchair General here. As I watched your final movements I was thinking that given the choice, I would position myself so I wasn't in line with the artillery and the center you wanted him to shoot. If the round fell short or over shot it could hit you, whereas off to either side you were safer. Feels bad man. But that was my gut feeling and without the benefit of your thousands of hours of experience.

Wild that the S1 driver put himself on a downslope under a type 4. He should have just ignored you, driven alllllllll the way around to get behind you on level ground and let the CC be a distraction.

I think in the ideal situation you wait until just before the arty reloads, then shoot the boxes with HE, then move to near the place where the previous arty shot landed. This gives the arty less time to think and respond. Hopefully this gives the best probability to dodge.

Given the arty saw the shell being fired, or even the props flying in a violent manner indicating a HE shell shooting from a certain angle and not him driving into it, it really narrowed down the possibilities where QB could be in the circle. QB honestly doomed himself attempting to outplay someone, and outplayed himself. Rip QB and the 100IQ plays he tries to pull off lol

QB was in the line of fire of the arty, if the shell fell short, as it did, he'd be hit. And was. If he was off to the side, the arty (if aiming at teh boxes) would have to miss to the side, much less likely.
