Tommy Johansson before joined Sabaton :) Amazing voice and guitar skills also ABBA is classic. Sometime can you react to Therion poupée de cire poupée de son or Therion-mon amour mon ami...Style is Symphonic metal or Metal Opera and band is from Sweden....This 2 songs and all other songs from fleurs du mal are covers of old french songs.

You are absolutley correct my good sir. There is never shame in appreciating something thats well made imo. Abba is indeed mainatream pop... but anyone trying to argue the melodies or lyrics are poorly constructed can cry that serenade untill the cows come home. Sure theye it all golden, this one is one that i find very boring but go read the lyrics for "The Winner Takes It All" and youll xind almost poetic metaphoric lines from start to finnish And the melody kinda speaks fpr themselves, today the instrument on the original recordings sounds a bit outdated buy if you were to re-record them with modern instruments but still follow the orignal notes Id dare bet a month saledy thats like half the population would be unable to pick out the song that was written over *half a century* ago if you mixed in 9 other melodies from more mordern songs. If you csn write a song that stull considered decent almoast 60 *years later* youre one hell of a fucking song composer 🤣

This guy is amazing... Sounds even a little bit like a Danish band Royal Hunt, who were always compared as the Danish Queensryche, but if you listen to any old Royal Hunt stuff you'll realize how close this sounds... Great performance thos here, like i said this guy is amazing...Tobias Sammet has been compared to ABBA too, so many metal bands always compared to ABBA, people dont realize how great ABBA actually was!!!... Great vid!!!

Wow, unexpected reaction...I've known this performer (band) for years now, he's amazing...and was the touring vocalist for the band Twilight Force after their previous singer left late last year (you really should check them out, they have a song featuring Joakim from Sabaton, too)

Abba wrote awesome songs. I remember as a teenager in 80s I was mostly into punk and some metal. I got an Abba collection as a gift from someone and wanted to hate it because it was commercial pop tunes. But after I pressed Play on my cassette player I was forever hooked.

A lot of metalheads love Abba. Lemmy said it was one of his favourite bands, Dave Grohl walks around with an Abba-shirt and talks about how they influence Foo Fighters etc etc.

This is ok, but I always prefered At Vance when it comes to Abba metalcovers. Hartmann is one of my favorite hardrock/metal singers and truly a great musician!
