Hi! I love your videos! I’m an engineer and most sources don’t have the depth of information I’d like. You have all the scientific information I want. And you like pumice! One problem I’ve had with my self-watering planters lately is the soil’s pH is very acidic in the 3 & 4 range. I’ve bought a lime product, I’m trying to apply it conservatively to avoid over correcting. It’s not budging much. I don’t know what to do. Applying fertilizer is pointless if the soil is so acidic plants can’t take up the nutrients. Help! They are outside planters and I live in the desert Southwest of the USA, if that is a factor. I bought them to conserve water due to our impending water shortages. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the tutorial I am just switching over to semi-hydro and was wondering when they would need repotting, I’m so surprised that it’s as long as 3-5yrs or in your case 10-12yrs. Once again thank you! 💚.

Thank you very much for this video. It’s very useful and well structured. I’ve never reported a plant from a self-watering pot, I’ve started to use them recently. And I didn’t know that there are so many details in this process.

Great video, Thanks! Would you recommend to rinse the root ball (during #2 or 3) before adding substrate to purge any salt residue?

Very informative video on reporting plant in a self watering pot, thank you so much. I also have the self watering pot without separate inner pot, would you please show repotting in such self watering pot? I have all my indoor and patio plants in pumice and self watering pot.

Thank you so much it's very useful! On the other hand a bit unclear what to do with plants that you want to get bigger like large ficuses or Monstera Deliciosa which is often for sale at the juvenile stage (roots here go wild and I'm not sure this plant appreciates the trimming). My best guess is to cut off fewer roots than 3rd method, maybe only the water roots, and give it a bigger pot...

Thank you for the video! One question: after root pruning and put back to the same pot, will the plant grow bigger or always stay in similar size?
