Why was Emile able to just wander off to the Sour kids? Aren't the Sweets and Sours supposed to be separated? Why would they literally be right next door? And why does the mom suddenly want Emile and Lars to be together? Wasn't she also guilty in separating them?

Well, ‘wander off’ she wasn’t supposed to go to the other room but she didn’t listen and went there, and her mother respects her fate, besides that Emile’s mom doesn’t want Emile and her father to separate so she just tells him to accept fate I hope I answered you! Have a nice day 🙃
