Great comparison and what you mentioned is so accurate about the return policy. I made the mistake of purchasing the omega and found it super uncomfortable on my thighs to the point of numbness in my legs. Secret labs was horrible for returns (took two months) and you pay the $130.00 return shipping.

Hey Dan! So I'm returning my Sidiz T50 I like the chair but I think I'm too tall for it. The backrest is fine but the seat isn't long enough (I'm 6'1 230). I watched your video on used Aerons and found a killer deal on a remastered Aeron loaded for $400 on craigslist. I haven't been on craigslist in a long time, but after watching your video, I decided to check it out, and sure enough 15 minutes away someone was selling an Aeron remastered. He works for a company that cleans out office buildings and that's how he is getting the chairs. I've paired it with the Atlas cushion and couldn't be happier. It's a size B for reference. Thanks for all your help and awesome content!

Interesting comment about the "dip" in the arm rests. I sit with my elbows on the rests but my hands closer, the edge of that dip gets pretty uncomfortable digging into my arm on my current chair.

I've woundered about the recliner style gaming chairs. I mean If you think about it a recliner is going to fully support you're body where thetypical gaming chairs are made in such a way to lock you in. This can be good are bad and for what it's worth ergonmics, true ergonomics beats a over the edge big seat chair. In reality though it can be hard to tell and most people go for these bucket style seat chairs because they look ver sleek and dynamic and they are what is in high demand. Without trying one in advance though it can be hard to tell.
@nightmare_1663 жыл бұрын
I went with the Titan instead of an Omega just because of the room it provides you and integrated lumbar support. Also the bottom part it's really similar to the one on the Icon, which solves your issue with leg spreading and overall butt experience. I'm 5'9 so I fit right on that sweet spot between Omega and Titan which is awesome. I think you should get a Titan for your channel! Would solve a lot of these inconveniences you mention for the Omega series.

Great review Dan! I'm currently looking for a nice chair either gaming it ergonomic for under 400. It's going to be in my bedroom paired with a gaming pc setup. I do prefer the look of the Icon but you had great points about the Omega being better quality and for laying down. Are there any other chairs you'd recommend in this price range? I have a short torso and I'm 5'7". Just discovered your channel and you have some of if not the best reviews.

Hm if you're looking for purely ergonomic and not much flexibility, the mfavour has been a solid chair. Its just over $200 and I reviewed that. Hi there, what would have been interesting to see is the Titan vs Icon, now I understand that you own the omega already so how do you find the seat firmness and cushion comfort between the two, wings etc.. apart please ? I have personally tried the Icon like 15mn after trying an Ikea Markus at a store and felt like sitting on a rock. Markus felt way more comfy and "okish" for a work from home/gaming chair, only thing i found nice on the Icon was the neck pillow support and backrest shape. Also worth mentioning multiple defects reported on the tilt mechanism and leather quality of the Icon by youtubers or on reddit.
@Ahnestly3 жыл бұрын
The Omega was pretty stiff, but loosened up over time. The Icon feels like it would also loosen up over time, but is a bit on the stiff end!

Kind of the annoying thing about gaming chairs in general if you are trying to look after yourself ergonomically is that most computer chairs are more catered to people about average height and up (e.g., 5'6 - 6'2). Therefore, shorter people cannot achieve the intended back support due to being too short. Shoving in a random cushion as a booster does not really help either as it can block a section of the lumbar support. Meanwhile, specially made ergonomic computer chairs that every mainstream critic rave about tend to be obnoxiously more expensive like the Herman Miller chairs. Not every consumer who has back issues are prepared to spend more than $600+ for a singular piece of furniture.
@Mikael-jt1hk Жыл бұрын
If you were "trying to look after yourself ergonomically" you wouldnt be sitting in the first place. Sitting on any chair will kill your back. Humans are not designed for sitting at all.

I truly just don't understand why chair manufacturers don't just watch great review channels like yours and just make the perfect chair? I mean how complicated can this be? Like make one for people who are like 5 ft to 5ft 5in and another one for 5ft 5in to 5ft 10in and a 3rd one that is for 5ft 10 in to 6ft 3in with like 2 or 3 width options size wise🤔 with all of the best features or things that you see needs to be fixed... with like a mesh fabric, and leather option... I mean this can't be rocket science here... if a company would just do this then they could just totally dominate the entire market instead of just being "another chair company" that pretty much puts their brand label on it and calls it a day...
@Mikael-jt1hk Жыл бұрын
Chair companies dont give a shit about your back or the quality of their products. They care about profit. Building the best chair in the world would cost a fortune in r&d, resulting in a manufacturing cost higher than what anyone with a brain would ever pay for a single chair. They dont exist to make you happy. They exist to make money 😂
