There's really no reason why. The Fenway "song chooser" so to speak back in 1998 thought it sounded good. Everyone responded well, fans and players alike, and it just became a thing. It's a great song to play. It gets everyone on their feet singing along.

Justin - I just got your Rock Songbook... Just fantastic! The layout of the song and your breakouts on what parts are tricky are great. At 42 and having started seriously playing about 14 months ago, I have found your videos and now that book to be just invaluable! LOVE the way you show all the various ways to play a song from simplest to more complex and closer to the actual song. Even if one is at the more complex level it is still interesting to see the easy to hard translations ... "if that makes sense". ( threw that in as it is a line you use often ... and it is a very likable way you have with expressions like that )

This lesson gave me a 5 month learner a major "ah haa!!" moment -- helped cement chords and triads around the fret board! I can now see little (and full) chords everywhere! Here's an A, there's D, and another and another ...... Thanks for your creativity and ever so well done method of teaching.

I think the original was in B and start the double on a Db with the bottom sting E, takes you to the key of B like the orignial

Vintage Song Book just arrived today, it's amazing and is my favorite so far. I have the Beginners and the Acoustic ones. Really impressed with the notes that you have included with the song charts. Here is hoping you choose "Apache" as one of your youtube lessons. Oh, and Sweet Caroline--perfect.
