2 жыл бұрынEurythmics' Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This), played by eight electronic devices: two electric toothbrushes, three credit card machines, one toaster, one steam iron, and one electric typewriter.
You've given great name suggestions for the devices, and in this cover music video, I give one of the great names to the toaster.
In this video, you also see an oscilloscope standing on the electric typewriter. The oscilloscope shows some of the electric pulses that go through the stepper motor that moves the typewriter's print head.

Everyone should really appreciate the fact that none of these devices sound good or "recordable" on their own. Just getting a drum kit to sound good in the track is hard. This would sound like garbage if not for some very good mic placement, mixing, and mastering. This person has immense talent

@@ubermidget2 it’s not impossible that it’s all recorded “live” since you can take as many retakes as needed and tweak mics etc along the way

@@ubermidget2 he made a video about his process, and if I recall correctly, it was recorded separately to get good mic placement and then synced with a filmed run without the mics for better visuals.

People don't realize how difficult it is to make the music score sound correctly in each voice. Not only this guy is a genius with electronics, his music understanding is also impressive.

Most of these are using motors that change in speed and direction based on voltage. You can use this to change the frequency of rotation which will create a vibration of the pitch you are trying to emulate.

Amazing job. I love how you personify the devices you use, give them names and arrange them like a band. I lost it with Bob Floss. Complete with brown afro. I've seen disk drives and printers making music before, but the presentation here makes it all the more entertaining.

As a life long Eurythmics fan i applaud you for this. Very impressed with the toothbrush harmonies! I think even the Eurythmics would love how innovative this sound is. Back in the day they were forerunners of the new synth sounds. Excellent

The printer's name should be "Ink Floyd"! :D (This name is not my own idea, but one from Kairu Hakubi, and it's based on SaltyStrip's "Print Floyd", which is also a great name I must say XD)

The only thing that confuses the hell out of me is how you got the printers to use vibrato? That's crazy!

Same way they get it to produce any sound. You modulate the power to have the device move at the right frequency. Instead of jumping between two notes, you just go up and down around one note quickly. Of course the control circuitry needs to be reasonably precise.

Actually it's a super similar song; you can hear it if you listen to sweet dreams - seven nation army mashups. The thing is, it would have the same melody, especially since the instrument would stay the same, unlike the actual songs where they use different instruments.
