This little Ford Maverick is sporting 427 cubic inches of Small Block Ford and a big 'ol Turbo. Very cool to see a different body style show up and even cooler when a Ford actually has a Ford motor. And I am a Chevy guy. lol
My goal is to bring High Quality footage of some the best Heads Up Drag Racing, No Prep, Street Racing, Street Outlaws, Offroading, Mud Racing, Car Shows and anything else with wheels, While we are known for our 20+ years of Drag Racing coverage from Drag Strips all across the country and our Drag Racing DVD's, our main focus now is providing our URBAN HILLBILLY VIDEOS KZfaq channel a steady stream of new HD videos, as well as loading classic footage from the UHV vault. I'm primarily a GM guy but it's refreshing to see something without an LS, they aren't god's gift to racing. I love seeing Ford powered Fords getting it done, and this is impressive.

@@superduty4556 No, they're not, if they were they'd be being used on a pro level and they're not. Any idiot can throw a cam, some springs and a turbo on an LS and think they're setting the world on fire. But when you're talking about real power(that doesn't grenade after 10 passes) you're getting into aftermarket blocks and high dollar parts so the cost is the same and so is the power level, so it's a wash. Regardless, the big block Chevy, and BBC based engines have always been and will always be king.

@@bobfalfa76 why are you talking about pro level? The fact that any asshole can throw a turbo on a junkyard truck engine and destroy most everyone at the track is incredible. People don't use them at the pro level for the same reason they don't use production blocks. Look up Sloppy Mechanics and see his 250,000 junkyard 6.0 with used head gaskets dyno over 1,000rwhp on both nitrous and turbo. Held together great and made many passes being driven to and from the track. They don't fall apart every 10 passes. That tells me you're talking straight out of your ass.

hard combo to beat right there. our 72' V8 grabber from the factory was 2700lbs new, youll struggle to get a foxbody that light. with a 434 windsor a plate and a fogger we went 8.90s at 150+ in the 1\4 on 10" hoosier QTPs with only a fiberglass grabber hood from Crites. made a lot of money on the streets of Detroit with that car

73 had that single year "transitional" bumper the in between from the small to large. Definitely the best looking front bumper

I'm not "quite" as much of a brand guy as I used to be...but I do still bleed ford blue! Huge fan of Mavs, Falcons, Fairlanes, Comets...and any other brand in that size group. As others have commented, nice to see a ford powered ford. No crossdressers here! And it just kept getting faster. The cat behind the wheel ain't no slouch either!! Wheels hangin, throttle pinned. Much Respect!!

For the people shocked about a ford with a ford engine being fast, the fastest manual car is a mustang with a gen 1 coyote. GM engines are more common because they have cheaper engines.

The shock towers were the only problem. Most people cut them out and switched to pinto style front suspension before you could pick up a magazine and order parts delivered to ur door! They shifted weight to the back tires well with the stock front suspension, and the wheelbase was just long enough to keep you from looking at the back bumper when it got a little diecy! Some people trimmed the towers back and filled in with sheet metal for header clearance.
